Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

It sure is going to be an interesting end to the window. But huge credit to Parish and Hobbs. HAve done a lot of the work early, so now are only really left with the unavoidable firefighting.

The Ordóñez rumours seam pretty solid, and to be fair this window solid rumours have turned into purchases.

We've also been linked with various CM's all window, Camara, Danois, and now Timber. Not carbon copies, but all are a bit more athletic and run with the ball more than what we currently have. So we have so assume we are trying to find this profile.

Then the 3 possible outs, JPM, Sarr and Munoz.

Munoz - You have to assume that with Khalaili we have signed his replacement. But Danny started at the weekend so it feels like we'll be happy to keep if we dont get a decent bid. (Cant see a move to Everton for him a. they are a step down b.he hangs around with Lerma a lot) Having 2 wing backs will be uncharted territory!

JPM - Sage made a big point of saying all was ok and separating the player from the man. Might be true, might be an attempt to not slander his character before a transfer. Personally I'd get rid, broadly at any price. The contract stuff is beyond disrespectful and I just dont want these type of characters at the club. Would be happy with any of the mentioned swaps, Woltemade or David. But if they are not doable, I'd happily go with what we have. Maybe not the smartest move but if he doesn't move I'd make him play reserve football all season.

Sarr - will clearly be a big loss if he goes, and would push to keep him over the 2 above. We've already signed Gozo (who whilst not ready to start is a RW) and have been linked with a few wide men this window (Bownen, Njie, March). So maybe we knew this Sarr move might be on the cards and have sounded out a few already. If the money gets up to 60+ we probably have to take it, and if its a Utd or Liverpool you couldn't begrudge him.

Doesn't look like Liverpool if this report is right.

For me it is too late in the window to let either Sarr or JPM go, that is a lot of goals.

We have not been linked with a striker apart from Bowen (silly stuff) so I can't see us bringing in anyone at this stage.

Agree with all that. Content with what has occurred so far. Hopefully no late surprises (Wharton). Hopefully we can get in one more player to replace Chadi or a defensive midfielder to revert to a back four and three in the middle if we are short of defenders. Hoping we can get JRS and Esse sold too so they can have a career elsewhere.

Charlton fans are now saying that Burnley have gazumped them for JRS. Watch this space I guess.

Tend to agree, but I'm just not sure its healthy to have someone playing for us who is also in contract dispute.

Arguments for selling all of them.

The one unknown is Sarr. Great last season. Terrific WC. But could he do a Munoz?. POTY season before, last season he was merely good. Could Sarr also drift into just OK? That would be annoying if we have gone all out to keep him.

Come on Palace so far we have done well this window need to shift a few more.

100% have to get rid of JPM and bring in a replacement.

Any one have any news on what is going on with likes of Sakyi/Ozoh/Esse ?

Is Franca injured again?

I’ve seen the following

Rak-Sakyi - potentially £5m to Charlton
Esse - Club Brugge deal collapsed
Ozoh - No news to my knowledge

França to go on loan somewhere

On JPM - Villa apparently interested - see that Ipswich are looking at a loan deal for Abraham.

To my simple mind - straight swap deal for JPM and Abraham - I’d take that deal in a heartbeat.

Then if we get Ordóñez and Tmber over the line - and no further outgoings we’d of had a great window..!!

Villa have agreed to sign Jackson 65m

I would not touch Tammy so no thx rather take 25m.

Looks like unless he fails medical loan to Ipswich is happening.

We got to get rid of JPM and bring someone else in maybe a loan with option to buy.

Do we have anymore loan spots available - know we’ve used up all our domestic loans.

Disagree on Abraham - he looked really decent at Chelsea - never understood why they got rid of him.

We’ll see.

Charlton fans are now saying the JRS move broke down to to his previous agent. Apparently JRS has switched agents and the old one is looking for some compo which presumable no one was willing to pay.

What are you on about. We are having a great transfer window. One of the best in many years
Is it though?

As it stands it leaves us still badly short in the two critical areas of centre back and centre midfield. Those were problem areas going into the window and are still problem areas.

In the meantime we’ve signed some wide attacking players when we don’t have a system (currently) that uses wide attacking players and two new right wing backs.

I’m not sure it’s been a great window to be honest. The squad currently looks not much better than entering the summer and with the same glaring weaknesses.

The issue I have is other teams buy people, they go straight in and stand out. We buy people and a season later we're still wondering if they've settled in.
Take our new signings - we'll still be playing last season's squad tonight. Even without its best players. We'll only play a newbie if forced - we certainly won't be expecting them to control the game or be particularly an improvement any time yet.
