Palace Summer 2026 transfers?

I think most on here will agree Villa are a big club with a proud history and are current Europa Cup Winners with a Champions League place and a very good manager.
Well they have just agreed to sell Rogers to Chelsea for £116 million.
1) It demonstrates the vulgarity of the modern game and must be a source of real disillusionment for the Villa fans who will feel crushed before the season starts when they should be excited by the new season.
For Villa read us, if we similarly.continue to sell our best assets.
2).Can someone more intelligent than me explain how Chelsea are complying with financial rules?
If they are it shows what a nonsense they are.

Well prior to this purchase, Chelsea had a significant net profit in trades over the past 12 months. Chalobah is about to go and they may well sell two of Garnacho, Gittens and Delap + some discounted centre-backs . Fernandez also wants out. Of course, if they don't get Champions League in the next couple of seasons they are in trouble but they and Spurs will fancy their chances of replacing United and Villa in the top 5

Villa have SCR issues still. They were fined the season before last and I think they still need to sell more than they buy to meet UEFA's demands. They took a gamble by overspending a few years ago expecting to get into the CL only to fall short and find themselves in trouble with UEFA.

Chelsea had similar problems and got fined more heavily but last summer they managed to raise more from selling players than they paid out on new ones and I suspect they think they'll manage the same this Summer. I expect they'll sell Enzo Fernandez for an eye-watering amount and I reckon Rogers is his replacement. They'll be offloading a couple or three central defenders as well, I suspect.

I'm not sure if this is even PSR related, but didn't Chelsea receive a fee of 16.5K from City for Maresca?

Could do so

They've already sold Cucurella to Real Madrid and Andrey Santos to Man U for £50m - £60m each and Tyrique George to Everton for an initial £18m. So that covers Rogers.

They over pay and over receive. Seems like player trading is a bigger part of their company than players playing football.

Probably amongst the very few here....but id love to see Wilf back, even a bit part role would be twice the player as Johnson! & something about watching Wilf on a Thursday night has a certain appeal to it!
I dont think it would happen....him and Sage did not get along at all at Lyon when Zaha threw the toys out the pram at being subbed. He then got loaned to Charlotte shortly after.
