Recalling Harry Maguire is a very strange one for me.

It's hardly a recall. Had Maguire not been injured he would have been in the Euros (and probably played in place of Marc).

So Wharton was being kept for the U21 clash in N.Ireland. Thought it was a bit odd excluding the country's best player from the England squad.

Wharton has work to do knowing he's not first choice for his position. I don't necessarily agree with the selection (probably biased though) however the best thing Wharton can do is get his head down and perform for Palace to force his way into the squad and first team.
