Palace fans causing disorder

Literally walked into the square as it all kicked off. Was a small number of fans. Really disappointing as overall excellent atmosphere in the city and welcoming fans. Hopefully they can identify who was involved and ban them

A stupid stunt by a few idiots. But compared to what often happens at matches in Europe, it was harmless overall. Besides, especially the French police are used to more serious riots. That's no excuse for the morons, but Palace certainly won't be labelled a rowdy club because of this.

can’t believe I’m actually seeing palace fans (presumably ones part of the ‘addo’ group) on twitter/X who appear genuinely proud for starting on the HF because they are antifa, wave Palestine flags at games etc etc… it does genuinely surprise me how large the flag shagging gammon faction of our fanbase actually is.

This is what happens when bellends bring politics into football.

And if you think that waving your little Antifa and Pro Palestine flags is a good thing, then you are part of the problem.

Or maybe it’s a case of far right simpletons behaving like… far right simpletons? Just because the HF aren’t racist neanderthals nor do any keep cardboard cut outs of Farage in their bedrooms (unlike their addo counterparts) they feel the need to provoke them.

I'm not wasting my time with the likes of you. Politics has no place in football, especially moronic far left anti British activism.

Have some ignore button.

Obviously Shelbourne has potential for the idiocy to continue
Hoping the Garda operate a "shoot to kill" policy 🙂 job done

Tommy Robinson worshipping flag shaggers have no place at Palace, a club whose recent success is built on the diversity of its squad and staff.

So you think that your politics does?

I would suggest to you that football was a far better place before politics was allowed into it.

What do you think?

I find that when people talk about 'diversity', they normally mean anyone except White British people.

The 'Holmesdale Fanatics' obviously consist of the usual young left wing muppets who have barely learned to tie their own shoelaces but think they can lecture everyone about morality and equality.

Their vocal support for the club is impressive, but they can shove their warped student politics up their arse.
Political statements and their owners should be banned from the ground.

It'll be interesting to see how Parish reacts to this.
The sooner he realises that 90% of our fan base have no affiliation to these groups, and in reality find them an embarrassment to the club, and stops sucking up to their every whim, the better.
Most people have a political view one way or the other, but don't take it to the football with them. No one gives a fvck what they think outside of football to be honest.

Seeing some of the videos from the square this morning.

Can't quite tell how or why it started. If it was over politics then they need to grow up regardless of being left or right.

They should be identified and have their parish points taken away from them and banned for a season or two from attending games.

Football and politics have been intertwined for at least a century, there's no escaping that. Many clubs have identities relating to political leanings, e.g. Sunderland, St Pauli, Red Star and Celtic are seen as left leaning clubs while Chelsea, Hamburg, Paris FC and Rangers have right leaning fans (the former 3 notoriously being associated with neo-nazi ultras during the 70s and 80s). Not wanting racist knuckledraggers at the club who wouldn't even allow half our own players into the country if they didn't play for us, is perfectly justified.

The trouble last night is of huge regret and disappointment.

We are a terrific club with fantastic supporters and a rich history of being no trouble at all, apart from the usual rivalry with local (and not so local) derbies etc. which all clubs have.

I find it a great shame that any Palace supporters should fall out amongst themselves, for whatever reason. Away from Home particularly, we are representing OUR club and need to be on our best behaviour. The atmosphere and rapport with the locals in Frederikstad for instance, was a huge credit to us and to Crystal Palace.

I have lots of Palace friends whose views (including political) will be different to mine and vice versa. We NEVER have an issue with it. We can respect each others views, even if we disagree, we can also talk sensibly about them.

We need to nip this nonsense in the bud as it MUST not be a feature for travelling supporters or our club going forward.

Big shout to the real fans who tried to clear up the carnage immediately by picking up the tables and chairs after this appalling behaviour between our so called supporters.

Big shout accepted 😀 no one dared return though. Felt sorry also for the bar owners, who would have lost a lot of revenue: they were expecting to sell till 2am. To begin with, as we were sitting down calmly enjoying our 6€ pints of Le Méteor, we didn’t have a clue what was going on as all these fans were coming towards us with their faces covered, and our first thought was that it was a Strasbourg firm, until we heard south London accents. No idea who “started it”; I was sat down enjoying my beers and suddenly a chair went flying over my head and everyone started screaming.

And where ever it is, there is trouble.

You clearly have a very simple minded and blinkered view of politics, and I would suggest that it is precisely this kind of attitude that produces friction.

You are basically looking for a scrap.

Should we ban racist chants?

The only ‘lot’ bringing politics into it have been the ‘Addo’/D30 or whoever they are with their Stop The Boats flag and chants and only singing political/racist songs.

The only Palace ‘song’ I heard from them in the Irish pub in Lublin was ‘boom, boom, boom, Mateta is a c**n’. The rest were about stopping the boats, Tommy Robinson and Palestine.

Utter disgrace to the club.
