Unless I've missed it, I don't think anybody on here has said burning down a hotel is justified.
It also has nothing to do with the point Hrolf was trying to make about cultural differences.

At the very least there needs to be some re-trials as the perception on which they were sentenced ,Far right thugs acting on false online rumours is now one of concerned residents acting on a sound belief that it was yet another wanna be terrorist murdering our children .
I would say a more lenient view would have been taken at least against those writing or shouting hurty words

It seems Lawfare is acceptable now. The case(s) against Trump pre-election, the
Southport civil unrest (which prosecutions were fast-tracked and given unduly lengthy sentencing to quash further demonstrations), now Marine Le Pen and the European Parliament.
Nb: not rioting but 'Civil unrest'

Good. Whilst the British way is to normally light candles and deposit flowers at the scene, the authorities can continue to say lessons will be learned and go back to other things. There is only so much education you can continue to give to people who keep saying that they have learned lessons; something needed to change.

Quite. Enough is enough. And all that lighting candles and laying flowers, along with some random photogenic girl suddenly starting to sing is all deliberately staged by Government.
Hrolf The Ganger 31 Jul 24 9.54am
it is time that people show just how angry they are. This is potentially the straw that breaks the camel's back.
If Governments don't act to make change, then what option does the population have other than direct action? The ballot box clearly won't change anything.
@nickdixoncomic
Obviously it’s wrong to set things on fire and especially to attack police. But the difference in tone is clear.

Some will burn candles, and some will want to find any visible symbol of what they consider the cause and burn that instead.
It's the sort of mindless violence you get when you create the environment that politicians have created.

In terms of the riots, we all know why they have happened. You can disapprove all you like...again working class white people get dumped on and yet are expected to take it.
Nod along to narratives, pay their taxes and take the lies. Have their living spaces taken by foreigners. Well, when it comes to their kids being knifed they are going to respond like every other group.

i would expect most of the family members of the victims to have been rioting. Locals all. And honestly, i cannot blame them

Tier policing.
crucifying some people for not much of a crime

If sensible politicians cannot make sensible policies then eventually people will turn to violence. I don't think violence is ever acceptable but what do you expect when the elite ride roughshod over the public.

Let's all sit at home crying and do nothing about things because we don't want to upset a system which has paved the way for children to be murdered in the middle of the day
Nicholas91 Flag The Democratic Republic of Kent 01 Aug 24 11.11am
Some individuals have been moved to action by the murder of little girls as not only an unimaginable reality but one in a latest sequence of them. Most are men, desperate to protect children within their society. They've chosen to do something to demonstrate a necessity for change, whether it be condoned, contributory to the desired outcomes or not.
The fact that some weasels are unable to comprehend this or anything beyond their own cowardice does not make them right nor their opinions anything less than the demonstration of their own being.
Stirlingsays Aug 24 1.32pm
Why should they concern themselves with the thoughts of traitors? These people have nothing to offer them but more of the same.
I also find the idea that they are rioting out of misinformation....that they are really interested in the minor details as to whether they should be really angry or not as so out of touch that I'd expect hearing next that we should placate them by letting them 'eat cake'.
Behind Enemy Lines 01 Aug 24 4.36pm
My point is - which I am sure you understand - is why did the riots take place? What was the catalyst? No murders in Southport equals no riots.
Forest Hillbilly 01 Aug 24 5.20pm
Another way of dealing with rioters, would be to understand peoples' perception that immigrant 'cultures' do not always add to the British society. Rather than try to supress protesters, he might do better to stop small boats and other real concerns that other cultures bring to our shores.

Hartlepool are clearly rioting over stabbings that have happened there. In May a Muslim asylum seeker roamed the streets looking for people to stab over deaths in Palestine. He killed a 70 year old white man. Which was the latest incident involving asylum seekers in Hartlepool. These are not just random far right riots. People are sick of being gaslighted.

That’s the problem. People have rushed to judgement and then decided to use their conclusions as an excuse to create mayhem.
Everyone wants to “stop small boats” and there was a magic wand able to do it then it would have been used by now.
Pelting the police with bricks isn’t going to help. It ties them up rather than allowing them to do their job.
This has been a very stupid reaction to a terrible tragedy. A time for healing, not for creating deeper divisions.
Those who see any merit whatsoever in it need to take a long hard look at themselves.
I've just taken a long hard look at myself; God, I'm attractive...!

Inevitably, at some point, people would have had enough of the effects of mass immigration and react with anger.
The government reaction, especially a Labour government, is predictable.
Come down hard on it, blame 'extremists'. Make examples of so called ring leaders. Behaviour more typical of tyranny.

Well Muslims don’t drink so they knew what they were doing in Leeds.
Drunken youths dont have clue what they’re doing, they’re drunk. Whose worse ?
