You have Lerma in twice and have omitted Franca who, I believe is under contract till 2028 and Cardines who I think should be in the list. On a more constructive note, and assuming all the players on the revised list remain, by my reckoning we currently have a 1st team squad of 24 with an additional 4 players who are classed as U21 (not yet 21 by the beginning of this calendar year) in Canvot, Cardines, Ozoh and Esse. Not much room for incomings unless we sell or loan out.

I forgot about França, I did notice him in pre training and he's bulk out a bit maybe he gets another chance?

I think we will need better cover for GK if Benitez leaves. Also think (regardless of the Lacroix situation) we need more cover at CD and another CM

(By the way Eagleman am I the only one who sees Count Bin Face when I look at your profile pic?)

Gosh, never had that said to me before. See where you're coming from, but, i thought he was a 'dustbin' & not a small can of 6.4%vol Cruzcampo Gran Reserva. 😀

I reckon we'll promote Goodman to the no 2 spot if we allow Benitez to go, and I suspect we will allow him to go if he's prepared to buy out his contract with us..

i'd love us to have a home grown goalie as it's been many years since one came through, however, it will be a big risk.

Goodman struggled to get a game at Huddersfield last season before he moved in January to Barnsley so that would suggest that maybe Div 1 is his current level.

Clearly he's young and still learning (as is Whitworth) so can/will improve but it's a big step up to play in the Premier League, even as occasional cover.

I do feel we need to make a decision with at least one of the two young goalies this pre-season as they've now had 2 plus years of loans and probably need to be playing regularly. Getting a small fee now and a big sell on seems the way to go.

Mingueza should be in his prime and was a fixture in a team that will be playing in the Europa Cup next year. He should get a lot of minutes

Agree at least 1 CB and possible a CM are required, however, for me the big concern is the left side of the attack, regardless of the formation.

Whilst Eze was not a natural fit there he did suit OG's formation and proved very effective.

Pino was never a natural replacement and whilst i hope he will be better this year as he adapts to the English game he is so right footed i'm not sure he can play left in a 433, and he wasn't great in a 3421.

Even if Pino proves me wrong he clearly needs competition. Johnson has shown he is too limited so i'm struggling to think of alternatives.

Was hoping Esse might step up, but not sure he will and i think he's more right sided anyway
