'The Good Old Days' compered by Leonard Sachs.
My goodness, he was an accomplished wordsmith.

Indubitably.'The Good Old Days' compered by Leonard Sachs.

Well, if the gig becomes available again the BBC will have a natural replacement.😀 😀
My word, I enjoyed his florid articulation and rhetorical panache.
I am sure Boris Johnson would be an outstanding replacement!Well, if the gig becomes available again the BBC will have a natural replacement.
They might need to increase the running time though.
just watched this, very funny but doesn't include his best sketches. ThanksSome of you aren't trying hard enough, all the content you want is out there somewhere The Crew on Kodi, YouTube, Tubi, Roku TV etc.
For Example.. (you're welcome)
Boris would be more suited to a Worzel Gummidge remake and could improvise the script.I am sure Boris Johnson would be an outstanding replacement!
I have just thought of another programme, 'All our yesterdays' with Brian Inglis.
I understand your thinking !Boris would be more suited to a Worzel Gummidge remake and could improvise the script.
All our Yesterdays was a very interesting programme.
Mr. Rees-Mogg would be better served sprawled languidly in an armchair at Bertie Wooster's Drones club. He wouldn't even need to change his clothes.I understand your thinking !
Perhaps Jacob Rees-Mogg would be a sterling replacement for Leonard Sachs.
Jacob and I will be enjoying a tipple together in the near future but it will not be at the 'Bertie Wooster's Drones Club' !!Mr. Rees-Mogg would be better served sprawled languidly in an armchair at Bertie Wooster's Drones club. He wouldn't even need to change his clothes.
Buy him a brown ale and a bag of pork scratchings.Jacob and I will be enjoying a tipple together in the near future but it will not be at the 'Bertie Wooster's Drones Club' !!
I suspect I will be sprawled languidly after a few 'Tinctures' ! 😀 😀
Remember when Peter Sellers was in it. That was quite a coup at the time.Sykes was always value. Hattiesburg Jaqueline and Derek Guyler enhanced it.
Yes, they also good in Monte Carlo or Bust which not many liked but I thought was alright.Sellers in early days was a genius. Two Way Stretch, Ladykillers etc. Lost his way in Hollywood - he didn’t have writers like Sykes. I loved Eric in Those Magnificent Men - he and Terry Thomas. Comic gold.
