OG's 1st Anniversary

Glasner is the real deal. Anybody detracting from him, on here, is likely a Brighton Troll. Certainly when we are on a run of good form.
When we are having bad luck, or getting trounced by a top three team, a bit of bellyaching is customary.

I like him and I like what he at least tries to do with our style of play. Ultimately we’re going to finish pretty much where we usually finish. But I think as a club whoever’s in charge we just can’t sustain any periods of decent form long enough to break into the top half
The only negative for me with the gaffer is what he sees in Kamada, but he’s obviously given him enough in the past to want to persevere with him

I am in agreement with the general thrust of these sentiments.
Whether Glasner is in situ until the current end of his contract (June 2026) is a matter for conjecture.

In his recent interview he said there was still work to do to improve the players and the team and that if that wasn’t the case there would be no point in him being there. I take that to mean he intends staying at least to the end of his contract. The only factor likely to change his mind will be how the club reacts to the likely departure of Guehi and Eze this summer. If we use the money wisely and promptly he’ll stay, if not…….

I don't see us losing Eze but certainly Guehi. Just don't think Eze has shown enough this season to warrant a big move.

Who would you want then that is better?
Mentioning Guehi and Mateta will also be going.
Luckily we have many positive fans on here to offset all your negativity! It's so depressing reading you on this site!
We are trying to play football and we are not too far. Imagine if we had 3 more wins from all the dropped points v Everton, Brentford, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves. We would be in the top 8 chasing europe. We don't spend big money like other teams. Fulham and West Ham spent £100m last summer to give balance. Villa just bought in a ton of international players in the January window and we bought a 19 year old talent from the championship.
A perspective please, but most of all- don't post on here if you're consistently going to sound manic depressive. It can't be good for your health!

I am not expecting to see Guehi wearing our colours next season.
I am also of the belief that Mateta will be plying his trade elsewhere.
100% agree, sadly🙁

as for OG it's a big 👍 from me

If we win on Saturday I will line my stomach with a plate of Wiener Schnitzels in honour of our glorious leader's anniversary, before celebrating further by washing it all down with lager, and if Jaegermeisters are Austrian I'll have a couple of those too - I don't really know any Austrian drinks.😕

Just ask for an "Anschluss" and you'll be fine.

Just done a bit of research and Spritzers are Austrian apparently, which I do imbibe normally after a large G&T down this trendy musical local which provides my bit of fun on a Friday night, I then repeat my gin and wine double and I'm well into the groove at that point. To be honest my six pints of lager days belong to the same era as Willo's stalking of attractive young women.

Beer is just as popular as in England, although the most popular types are bottom-fermented (lager) and top-fermented (ale) are rarely drunk. People who don't like beer usually drink wine as an alcoholic beverage. There is a very good selection of Austrian wines, which are always rated very highly at international tastings. Spritzers’ (half mineral water, half wine (usually white wine)) are popular and are drunk in large quantities in summer. If more alcohol is required, schnapps is typically Austrian (made from all kinds of fruit such as apple, pear, plum, cherry and also specialities such as rowanberry and gentian). If it's not alcohol, Almdudler is the best-known soft drink and typical Austrian. It is a herbal lemonade, similar in flavour to ginger ale, but sweeter and fruitier. Jägermeister is German, not Austrian.
Original ‘Wiener Schnitzel’ is made of veal. However, most Austrians (including me) prefer to eat it with pork (firstly cheaper, secondly much tastier).
