Joking apart, I was quite impressed with how efficiently Strand Larsson took his headed chances and I don’t recall him having that much in the way of high crosses thus far in his short career at Palace. We need to play to our strengths while Sarr and Mateta sulk it out.

he's not too dissimilar to Benteke in that he's incredible in the air, but looks a bit lacking if you are asking him to get too involved in the build up.

We just need to sling crosses in and let him attack them

He scores if you put him through on goal as well. We need to keep treating him and Nketiah as the tip of the spear rather than a springboard to structure attacks. Neither is really much good as target men but both are better than Mateta at poaching and finishing, IMHO.

Was Benteke good in the air? We never crossed then either did we? I can barely remember him scoring at all now.

We did in his first season, and he scored 15 league goals.

From memory, we then jumped on the inverted wingers band waggon and never crossed again.
