Worried ref will try and even it up in the second half. The fact he didn’t book Jesus for a blatant dive but managed to book Riad, when he was looking away - another anti- palace ref!

That save from Williams was hilarious. WTF was he thinking? We have looked ok going forward but look vulnerable on the break.

Hughes and Munoz look right up for a scrap. The effort is there, just need some composure and a bit of luck.

You look at their squad and there really is no excuse for where they are in the league. They should be top 10 at a minimum.

Well a poor half that ended well for us. They tactically worked us out. Give us the ball, wait till we lose it and then use the numbers in midfield and behind the wing backs. So obvious and just ludicrous Glasner wasn’t ready for it.

Sarr did ok up front and took the pen well. Hughes ok in midfield. Our comers much better. Riad sadly looked a liability at times. Out of position a lot and easily out muscled when Igor Jesus ran in behind him at the end (lucky Jesus decided to go for a triple pike with tuck and two and a half twists rather then running on to the ball). They will target Riad second half.

If we stick with three at the back I’d take off Riad for Clyne. Riad had a really poor half anyway and they’ll target him second half given he’s on a booking

Yes. The ref’s sometimes subconsciously are influenced and feel the need to even it up.

I’d certainly read the riot act to our players on a yellow to be extra careful.

We dont have one, Michael Angerschmid and Ronald Brunmayr were last season, but now they are 2 of the 6, yes 6, assistant managers.

Two of our three central defenders are on yellows, la Croix has been spoken to, and Hughes is obliged by the dictates of his personal religion to pick up a yellow every week, so there will be plenty of chance for this to end up 10v10.

Plus forest, particularly dislikeable for a while now, will be swarming all over the ref demanding yellow and red for the littlest thing.

Hopefully Glasner is factoring all this in when considering subs etc.
