No Atmosphere, No Energy

If I remember correctly, the club has hardly raised prices at all since COVID. Haven't they been kept at the same level for the third year in a row?

Yes this is what I thought aswell. I think we have been good on ticket prices. I think season tickets may have gone up 10 percent tho? 🤔

I also bought my dad a ticket for the hull game at the end of November to go with. ÂŁ33 it cost. The man city game was ÂŁ50 for him too.

I always offer my ticket to Palace fans I know at face value (what the club offer for it) if I can’t go. If they can’t make it, I have sold it back to the club on a couple occasions. I then have a look to see what they are selling at and it’s not £70. However, I totally agree with you that all football is over priced these days but we are still cheaper than some.
Me too, me and my mate know a guy who is now in our f&f who takes it for ÂŁ40 when either of us cant go. Coming from Scotland some of these Sunday kick offs are hard to make/get back from. But i find it annoying that if we were to sell it back to the club they would add 80% on. That doesnt seem right to me.

Think it’s a futile protest based on that alone. So Protest is successful and the club lowers the price of the tickets. Tourists will still buy them but at a cheaper price 🤷🏼‍♂️.
Maybe the protest should be about making tickets easier to share considering we purchased them. We also need to be careful what we wish for, I heard Man U remove and resell season tickets if someone has not been to 3 games in a season. We definitely don’t want to follow that model but Man U will argue it gives other fans an opportunity to see games.
Elgin - do you travel by night train or fly?

Disagree. It was brilliant the first few years. Now we’ve stayed up so long the boredom of finishing 15th has set in. Going to the games now is a chore. No atmosphere, a poor team and they’ve even knocked down the Stephenson Lounge in the vague hope of building a new stand.

it was a proper sash though, not this wishy washy thing with temporary on the front.

Make it the away kit asap if possible and use the excellent red n blue one at home.
Our kit shouldn’t make any difference but we just look weak playing in white. What was wrong with red and blue stripes? I thought the kit in the Turkey game looked brilliant. Should be the home colours.

Agree with most of what you say. The monotonous drum etc isn’t an atmosphere for me.

I disagree about Wembley/Leipzig, we don’t need any group to create noise at games like that.

I went to all the European aways last year, atmosphere was always good and hardly even saw them. In fact they seemed to stayed away from where the Palace majority of Palace fans were drinking
I agree with you, I’m not saying those games needed them for atmosphere, it’s just it’s those games that you notice them more, with the displays and tifo’s etc

Not affordable though are they. Isnt that one of the things the protest is about, that normal fans are being priced out while the club prioritises selling ÂŁ70 tickets to tourists? Its harder each year to sell your ticket if you cant go unless you have st+. ÂŁ70 isnt affordable imo.
We used to go with the 2 kids when they were young - We (Mum & Dad) had two Gold memberships and could buy 2 tickets on each - was quite easy to get four seats together in the AW even if you had to hold on the phone to the box office for a while.

Nowadays it appears everyone needs to be a paid member to buy a ticket and being a member doesn't necessarily mean you might get one - and as ticketmaster seems to hoover up most of the tickets by a few minutes past 10 in the morning (why do they put tickets on sale online at a time when many don't have access?) , trying to get four together is impossible - this and selling multiple games together at the same time has made football unreachable for many with Kids as it's too expensive.
