We’re a strange lot us football fans, we spend a lot of money on comfy sofa’s and heating, yet we choose to go and sit on a hard plastic seat in the freezing cold squashed in like sardines 🤣Who doesn't love a good arm chair?
Not us part timers that can't afford it! I have only ever had one season ticket. We’re a strange lot us football fans, we spend a lot of money on comfy sofa’s and heating, yet we choose to go and sit on a hard plastic seat in the freezing cold squashed in like sardines 🤣
Sell the sofa, cut back on the dream topping and get yourself a season ticket 😀Not us part timers that can't afford it! I have only ever had one season ticket.
Having a season ticket was rubbish. It made catching a game less exciting for me and more of a chore. I actually quite like only catching one or two games a season, feels like more of a treat (until it kicks off anyway)Sell the sofa, cut back on the dream topping and get yourself a season ticket 😀

To be honest, all joking aside, I get that, sometimes it can get a bit monotonous game after game, the same old thing, sitting in the same seat, especially during the Roy years when we had long periods with hardly a shot at goal game after game zzzzzzHaving a season ticket was rubbish. Actually my ST was during the Roy era. Don't get me wrong, I'm no fairweather, I don't go to football just to see wins. They are nice, but I am keen to see a team that look like they are trying. I didn't always see that. Plus I am 5 minutes walk from a non-league ground where I can go to watch crap football for a fraction of the price! Anyway, genuinely not being defensive (I'm not Roy), I appreciate the fans that go every week through thick and thin and make some serious noise. But it just lost its appeal for me a bit when it stopped being an occasional 'treat'.To be honest, all joking aside, I get that, sometimes it can get a bit monotonous game after game, the same old thing, sitting in the same seat, especially during the Roy years when we had long periods with hardly a shot at goal game after game zzzzzz
We play 19 home games in the league spread over 9 months, well in any other form of ‘entertainment’ you don’t go out to the same s*** restaurant 19 times in 9 months or go to the cinema to watch the same s*** film that many times, or the same gig, yet we go back to selhurst game after game like sheep. Tongue in cheek, but you get my point 🤣
