Pierre Sage took Lens to second place in France last year, which is impressive, but he has very little pedigree or experience beyond that. He has less than 100 top flight games under his belt, having spent most of his career in the sixth tier of french football, or in an academy, or as an assistant. He was an amateur player.
Taking Lens to 2nd in Ligue 1 isnt that impressive the league is awful only good team there is Psg the rest are awful Lyon even went down.

That sounds a big risk to me on the face of it.
Doesn't seem a Parish type appointment.
I still think it will be Lampard or McKenna if compensation can be agreed and one of them want to make the move.
Still have Dino Toppmöller in the race he's Managed in the Bundasliga and has been in the Champions league has Finished 3rd in the Bundasliga with Frankfurt and has also Mangaged under and worked with Julian Nagelsmann at Leipzig and Bayern.

He does seem the obvious preference if Parish decides that upper level European experience is more important than premier league experience.

He got 14 goals out of odsonne Eduard last season!!
I think that is the state of the league compared to Eduoards Talent, IMO Ligue 1 is the same standard as our 3rd tier, certainly nowhere near Championship standard, which is probably the second hardest league in Europe with the Bundesliga 3rd.

Too good for me den with your double deckers
It would be a huge Boost if we could get Iraola. Glasner winning 3 trophies and leaving caused a huge Ripple in the media. I wouldn't even bet a Dime on who the next manager is going to be. I thought of Frank but Parish may Twirl to Lampard or Sage, who knows. Wispa it quietly but could Marco Silva enter the frame? Regardless, let's hope a we will see a new Starburst through from the academy next season and make the first team.

How to bake something out of nothing. Bookies and media pundits grasp a handful of names out of thin air and the circus wheels start to roll. Increase speculation with fictitious articles and odds shorten, leading to more speculative articles. Now the hype is "real". The average fan starts to believe the hype, even though never having heard of the names involved previously.
I'd wait until a few World Cup managers get added to the list...

Well we are looking for a new manager so it is inevitable that there will be media speculation, betting markets and discussions on fan forums.
Some of the speculation may be wide of the mark, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Lampard and Dyche could be candidates.

The alternative is to just shut down this thread and just wait until the club sees fit to make an announcement.

I am going to make a case for Frank, we can forget Brentford, I can’t believe anyone can say he wasn’t good there, Spurs, they were 14th when he was sacked, a normal Palace season, they had over 12 players out injured, and the squad wasn’t anywhere as good as Palaces squad, he has European experience, so he has a taste of the toughness of 2 games a week for most of the season, I can’t see anything wrong with him coming in, as Iraola, everyone’s favorite seems out of contention. Spurs you must remember haven’t got a clue, having sacked Potchettino, Mourinho and Conte, 3 of the finest mangers of the last ten years.

It's not beyond the realms of possibility that Alan Pardew returns for a second stint either. He has been seen seated by Steve Parish, he's got to be 250/1.

I would contend there's a big difference between Pardew and Dyche and Lampard, who were both active managers last season and could be seen as viable candidates.
If people find the speculation annoying or irritating the simple thing to do would seem to be to avoid this particular thread.

Indeed - however, not sure I’d want any of them. Sage, Topmoller and Frank would, in my view, be progressive. Lampard has done brilliantly with Coventry although I wonder if he’s a promotion championship manager? Dyche has a win percentage of less than 34%. For context that’s only about 4% higher than Southgate when he was at Boro and got them relegated and, overall, 13% less than Glasner, 8% less than Roy and 4% less than big Sam. Sage and Topmoller over 50% and Frank over 40%.
All of these managers have peaks and troughs but Dyche stats are consistently at a low level across 4 teams. I cannot understand why we would ever even consider this bloke? He’ll take us down and with s*** footie as well.
