He joined Everton when they were 19th and when he departed they were outside the relegation zone in 17th place.
At Nottm Forest he inherited a team in 18th place and left with the team outside the relegation zone in 17th place.

He is a good solid manager, but so was Uncle Roy, but you can only take so much of solid survival defence first football
