This is exactly what I have been told yes. We have evolved our operation off the pitch as well as on it.
As you quite rightly point out, when Palace first came up we didn't even have a DoF. It was just Parish negotiating the deals. Then Freedman came in and took a lot of the workload off of Parish with regard to recruitment. Then we brought a couple of guys in to support Freedman in his role. Now we have a whole department dedicated to scouting/recruitment that pretty much do it all except negotiate the deal. This is something Parish could probably do easily until a replacement DoF is brought in.

Not sure that is totally fair on him. Moyes likes to be in charge of transfers ( he is getting rid of Everton’s DOF, apparently) and Lopetegui probably similar. Also don’t forget the Sullivan spawn who involves himself. OG must know Steiden from Germany, if he is happy so am I

Steidten is the person. However, other parts of the post are correct, Ian Moody has been working on a lot of the recruitment from Europe, in particular Andersen and Munoz. He is still involved
