New doctor's strike

Sure, I'll answer more questions while you continue not to 😴

No, I don't think employers should pay whatever their employees demand. That would be silly.

Do I think employers who are evidently struggling with recruitment and retention, whilst their employees protest over pay, should consider it? Obviously.
Pay is not among the top reasons for them leaving.

Unless you're contesting that doctors are leaving the NHS in significant volume, I think you're just going around the point.
And going to the private sector who are now being used by the nhs. Probably at a similar rate with the deals struck with hmg.
I doubt the private sector can afford to overcharge as loads of their work is nhs so still the same amount. I suppose it’s less that can strike so happy days

Our economic decline means that everyone's pay is down relative to what it would be unless you're the wealth class.

The pay demand I find quite incredible and a lot of the public are going to see that very negatively.

Straight up blackmail, like the train drivers.

Working conditions however are a valid complaint and again it's a result of past failure and of kicking the can down that road for others to sort out.

Massively increasing the population, out of step with services....the mark of the treasury permanently taking the p1ss with the infrastructure.

A major major flaws with democracy.

Don't forget all the hero worship and banging of saucepans.
Other countries find it odd how the public in the UK love the NHS. Many especially in the USA don't have the same affection for their system so attitudes range from meh to shysters.

I think the BMA and the RCN don't realise how lucky they are with public support. However I have noticed post COVID especially that the NHS is losing that affection and especially trust with one major scandal after enough.

From personal experience I can say I am far from impressed with how they have treated me and my family.

The NHS is heading in the same direction as the BBC, both once beloved by the public for decades now arrogant and out of touch.

I wonder how many people have died today due to the doctors strike.

The Times reported that at least five people died due to the previous doctors strike. How many deaths can we expect this time? How many death do the Left think is justified to meet the doctors demands for massive wage rises that are far in excess of what the vast majority of most other wage earners get.
The leaders of the BMA should be arrested and charged with gross negligence manslaughter.
