Munoz

Only recently, in private conversations, I was bemoaning the fact that the wing-backs are so pivotal in the ''Glasner Way' yet we did not possess a like-for-like right-footed replacement for Munoz.
I expressed concern about our prospects should Munoz be unavailable.

Thank you Mystic Meg 😂

Arrrgh. He's my favorite player and the most valuable member of our squad, fully deserving of both Player of the Season awards last year (fans & teammates). May God bring him a swift and full recovery.

Obviously, it hasn't helped that Kaleb Korpha has a long term injury, and Danny Imray is on loan and back fit again, whether he is up to it is another matter, i wonder if Jaydon Rodney could do a job off the bench, he has played there, and has young legs.

Danny Imray.... why does this guy get mentioned as if there is any chance of him stepping up?!

If he wasn't a Palace player, when would you ever look at a Blackpool, and former Bromley player and think that he could step up to the Prem.

Surprised the club pr dept. didn't immediately jump on this one and confirmed it was not Munoz, considering his name was floating about as a possibility for a good few days.
Or maybe we dont have a pr dept.
I suspect this is a PR thing.

When a BBC presenter was rumoured to be in trouble the papers and social media were rife with who the guilty party was (Huw Edwards). It led to a number of famous names includes Lineker having to publicly deny it was them which of course then allowed the media to remind the public of their past indiscretions / scandals etc.

In other words, if you are innocent better to remain silent and hope the real name comes out quickly.

Because he has shown in both loans that he's better than the level he's been playing at in L1 and L2. It simply reinforces the potential some of us have seen when he was playing in the U21s.

I understand why, but Palace lads on loan are always looked at through red and blue tinted spectacles.

IMO U21s is absolutely no place to spot talent, all you can do it compare them against the other 21 players, of which 19 of them are unlikely to continue playing professionally.

There is no way you'd be looking at any other RB in league 1 thinking he could be Munoz's replacement.

Clyne has been solid and certainly not the reason we loss yesterday. To make it through the ranks the “kid” needs to be 16-17 years old and an absolute standout performer. We don’t possess those.

proven internationals like Sasha Boey would appear to be the answer if we want to compete with Europe’s elite.

i am told the surgery was to 'clean out' the knee. Munoz's procedure was on the more basic side so he could start light training in a week or two. How long before he can play again is unknown at this point. Hopefully it is weeks and not months - see below

Knee clean-out (arthroscopy) recovery varies, but expect to feel better within weeks, with most returning to light activity in 1-2 weeks and sports/heavy work around 6 weeks, though full recovery can take 3 months or more, depending on the procedure's scope (meniscus repair vs. just cleanup). Initial pain, swelling, and stiffness typically improve within weeks, guided by physical therapy, but follow your surgeon's specific plan for returning to normal activities.
