The only quality OG brings to the table right now is European experience.

If we lose tonight to opposition of this quality there are 2 reasons for letting him go.

It's not an excuse, but the pitch in Bosnia was not great, and the pampered PL darlings seem to struggle when they're not playing on carpet (see Palace and Brentford's struggles on Macclesfield's plastic as another example). Back on manicured blades of grass, I think we'll come out victorious, perhaps more comfortably than is expected. I'm going to go for 2-0. JSL and Guessand.

I expect a tight edgy game with them probably utilising a low block, or defending deep, parking the bus, being compact, having everyone behind the ball or possibly all of the above.

I think an early goal will settle the lads down and we’ll see an improvement in the overall performance.

1 goal won’t be enough to settle late second half nerves though (especially given the possibly that our defence might crumble again) so a second goal will be needed. 2-0 Palace.

Maybe I’m just unjustifiably optimistic?or maybe I’m just hoping that my six hour round trip to sit in the rain to watch my beloved Palace will be worth the effort - unlike the Burnley game! 🥴

Tough game, Zrinkski have nothing to lose and will be right up for it. As usual at Selhurst trying to score first will be vital. If we do that hopefully it's comfortable by the end but if they get it, expect another messy one. They played a lot of balls over the top at their place but on the tiny Selhurst pitch and without the wind holding it up hopefully it's less of an issue tonight.
