Most popular male name in the UK...

And a mystery why Jesus was born in Judea but was given a Mexican name.
....and was not born in Nazareth and called Jesus of Bethlehem. A town Named after an old mental hospital.
And if a workman bashes his own thumb with a hammer, its blasphemy to shout 'Jesus' in English, but not 'Jesus' in Spanish ? The Spanish blasphemy is 'host' which in English is a hospitable word for a kind soul who accommodates you.

Apparently no one gets called Nigel anymore, absolutely zero new borns, can’t make people out, surely you’d want your baby named after one of Ken Dodd’s diddy men….Nigel Ponsonby Smallpiece 😀
It's strange, this business with Nigel. Many years ago I posted my disapproval of someone who had stated his intention to imitate a flying aeroplane when Manchester United visited. Then someone else quoted my comment and replied with one word: Nigel. At the same time I started to notice that Neil Warnock was mockingly referred to as Colin. How do these things start?

Colin W@nker is an anagram of Neil Warnock.

I know 2 Palace fans called Nigel. Maybe more if I had a good think. ‘Stripy Nigels’ came from Millwall.
