More covid

Any on here who think that everything in the future is predetermined have next week's lottery winning numbers please?

I don't believe in free will nor numerology.

What I tend to find more convincing is 'super-determinism'

Random doesn't exist, every future event is already determined by the past. In that precise sense the future “already exists” as a determined outcome, and the past continues to exist as the complete set of causes that fixed it.

Fate is real, there is no free will and the script is already written and the movie plays on and is probably simulated.

Our individual fates are of no more import than the ant you stepped on as a child.
Depending which rite you are in, numerology in Masonry is not linked to the fortune telling numbers stuff. It is more of a numbering system of the moral virtues mason are expected to uphold, not all do of course.

An extraordinary amount of effort is made by hidden powers to control, coerce and manipulate us. To influence our free will.

That would rather suggest the opposite: that we are very important, with much more potential power than we are led to believe, or that most of us are aware of.

Why bring Wisbech into this?

I haven’t bothered reading in full the recent contributions to this thread. Just skimming them is enough to verify what I have known for many years. Which is that on this subject, as with many others, there are some for whom their refusal to accept things at face value combined with a total distrust of any kind of authority, makes them prey to every kind of conspiracy theory under the sun.

It’s both amusing, and extremely disappointing, to witness this level of delusion on regular display.

Why look for the simple, obvious and logical when the implausible, illogical and irrational are available?

The answer to which will doubtless be found in the bank accounts of some YouTubers!

I thought it was to stop how ill people got. A bit like the flu jab! Nothing can prevent a virus spreading only what was tried by distancing so physically preventing passing it on.

They changed their story once it was apparent the jabs weren't preventing covid.

The jabs were originally sold on the false claim that they would prevent transmission.

Luckily, the internet keeps receipts

So they lied but only because they assumed it was the case. How could they have proofed it without giving actual jabs. it doesn’t though mean they didn’t prevent you getting very ill with Covid. Surely that was the real point of the jabs.

Instead of giving them the a very overly generous benefit of the doubt, you could take it straight from the horse's mouth. Fauci confirmed they lied because they didn't want to undermine the push for vaccine mandates. See post #223

The top lied about effectiveness and worked to ban alternative analysis and opinions.

Then their useful idiots in power, ensured that everyone with reasonable doubts and questions suffered.

Many many people were forced to take vaccines or lose their jobs.

Many many healthy people were fooled into taking vaccines under false lies about what they were taking.
Trusting the state wouldn't lie to them.

Many many children were jabbed by parents fooled into thinking this was protecting them.

Unless you had the time to investigate this yourself then most people would assume that the state wasn't playing fast and loose with the truth.

It's a strange kind of Stockholm Syndrome - I know these people lied to me but it was in my best interests so that's all right.

Yes. I think ego also comes into it as well, a lot of people don't like admitting they got it wrong.
Guilt too, some people unwittingly played their part - enforcing, jabbing and firing.

My current position is that the jabs reduced the immediate death of those very vulnerable to dying of Covid.

It wasn't by any means a certainty because the 'with Covid' was very much a reality rather 'than covid'....or in other words a lot of people were going to die regardless.....and they did die.....The long term effectiveness of the jabs is a serious point of contention.

This isn't even touching upon the effect of lockdowns, liberties and the covid programme had on other deadly illnesses like cancer for example.....and the increase of many deaths for other conditions, delays of diagnosis.....Very little there that the state will be honest about because its decisions caused it....the effect of closing down schools, jabbing the healthy and children (a crime in my view).

However, if I remember correctly the statistics....if believed....show a significant drop in deaths once the vaccines started for covid specifically.......but overall deaths increased as time went on and the state manipulated calculations because of it....and explanations for that aren't honest in my view.

However, that also seems to be the extent of their usefulness.....an immediate reduction in death for the most vulnerable.....Beyond that most of the claims were just lies to get people to take the jab.

And lying is something a state must be held to account on....As much as humanly possible......Otherwise you are headed down the Soviet route of unrestrained corruption.

So much of what was put out by 'trusted' sources turned out to be misinformation.....which was highly ironic considering what they claimed for others.

I'm reminded of Satanists.
The question being, does the devil exist.

He may not, but Satanists believe he does.

So like Astrology and numerology, whether you believe in it our not, other people do. More importantly very influential and nasty people.

People tend to believe in what gets them through.

A lot of beliefs centre around the 'main character' idea of that we as an individual matter in some way and that our behaviour matters towards some end.

Many religions are based upon this idea, Satan being one of those figures meant to keep you on the straight and narrow.

I see the very useful aspect of religion for social cohesion and I'm a strong advocate for the positive aspects of religion.....because nihilism is much worse for morality and thus consequences.

Unfortunately nihilism is how the world works for the elites....because that is mostly how they behave.

But as for what is true.....That has to be analysed away from personal feelings or what we would prefer to be the case.

My position is that super-determinism seems to line up with what we know about the universe better than other theories.....and for me, super-determinism says simulation.
