More covid

Hard man on a forum. Lol

You've quite clearly mispresented me a number of times. What's the controversy. Lol
Hard man on the forum? I’m not quite sure I follow your logic there. Just to be clear, in no way, shape or form have I behaved like that.

What you’ve done is present your interpretation of the evidence as absolute fact. My own interpretation is inevitably informed by the fact that my dad caught Covid and died from it. He caught something that killed him. As I’ve repeatedly said, I don’t deny that governments can mislead people, nor do I deny that mistakes were made.

What I object to is people presenting what is ultimately their interpretation - and their preferred consensus - as indisputable fact, while implying that everyone who reaches a different conclusion must wrong.

I’ve read back through my posts. We’ve debated this, and you’ve claimed several times that I’ve misrepresented you. Actually, if you read what you wrote, the inference is very clearly there. Referring to me as some sort of “forum hard man” who is offering to step outside is equally ridiculous. I’ve done nothing of the sort. I think I’ve debated you at the appropriate level throughout.

One thing I’ve noticed about conspiracy theorists is that, when they run out of arguments, they tend to announce that they’re no longer engaging. Apparently, it’s acceptable for you to misrepresent what others have said, but not for anyone to challenge your interpretation.

You mentioned “Build Back Better” and everyone parroting it. Perhaps that happened because it was a decent, memorable catchphrase that travelled well. What you need to establish is whether that repetition demonstrates causation or merely correlation. Successful political messaging gets copied -that fact alone doesn’t prove some coordinated conspiracy.

New Zealand was also highlighted as having relatively low infection rates. That was probably helped enormously by the fact that it is geographically isolated and could close its borders comparatively easily. Britain was in a very different position. Our economy was heavily service-based, with a substantial concentration in London’s financial sector, and it inevitably took a massive hit and we are in Europe.

So I’m not sure how you’ve concluded that I’m acting like a forum hard man.

What I am saying, based on my own experience and everything I’ve read, is that I don’t believe Covid was merely another variation of flu. I believe it was the latest in a long line of pandemics, and it was handled differently because the circumstances were different from anything that had gone before.

You are presenting your research and interpretation as absolute fact. Ultimately, however, you are still relying upon the findings and opinions of other people - just as everyone else is.

At the end of the day, we all have our own lived experiences. Personally, I find your attitude dismissive towards anyone who doesn’t share your opinion. That’s fine - if that’s how you choose to live your life, that’s entirely your prerogative.

You can't really have a sensible, rational conversation on this subject without risking offending people. People don't have to take part in discussion at the end of the day, if new facts and different opinions are so distressing for them.

As we all know all too well, 'offence' can be weaponised as a form of censorship - most obviously in the trans and race arenas, but also with Covid.

I recall a massive kick-off in a Brighton pub after the demo I previously mentioned. One of their locals started hysterically ranting on that his Dad had died of Covid. Me and several others ended up being thrown out and barred as a result of his protestations (Did us a favour!). Anyway, some of the other locals caught up with us outside. I think we were initially expecting all hell to break-out, but they actually just followed us to apologise and told us the guy claiming his Dad died of Covid was full of s*** - his father had actually passed on from a heart attack.

We all know that someone could get hit by a bus and have 'covid' put on their death certificate. A nurse friend told us she was actually offered incentives to do just that.

People can say what they want, but we're also all entitled to believe what we want, without having the guilt card weaponised against us or used to derail discussion.
Absolutely 100 percent with this.

If you were to look back at the conversations last night I don't belive I was being rude; I was standing by my position, like others were.

It was others who started the name calling, saying that you have to be nuts to believe covid isn't real. I didn't do that neither do you.

In fact my views were taken and absolutely twisted. That's when I got a little annoyed.

I honestly feel that the stuff Matt desmet writes about, is exactly why people can not see the obvious.

Desmet also points our that people like you and me can be subjected to the same mind control.

There's a very good interview he had on tbe jimmy Dore show. It's a lot longer than the one I posted. It was through Jimmy Dore I found out about him.

I am happy to engage.

Firstly you stated - I bet you've had the covid Jab. I actually asked you if you've had it. Big difference.

Secondly you put in quotes "just the flu" this is something I certainly haven't said anywhere. When people are dying and being told that they died of covid, I have never said or believed they died of the flu. Quite the opposite actually. I would have to look back on the comment " just the flu", but I believe you mentioned it when you were in hospital with your Dad. That was beyond the pale in my opinion.

If you call someone a cund then expect a little ridicule mate. I say Internet hard man because I'm not expecting you to say it to my face.

I've never mentioned build back better once mate. You are getting yourself confused.

The one thing I've discovered about normies is this. No matter how much information and facts you put in their lap, they ignore it.

Why would I keep on engaging with you just on an emotional level.

Edit.

One last thing.

I haven't represented everything as a fact.
The government's and health officials did that.

The original debate was - is covid real?

I am saying that this was not proved by any scientific procedure. The onus is on them to prove it, not me. Where is the proof.

The proof is not people getting ill and dying, because that's always happened.

You have complained of others being overly definitive, overly certain, in expressing their 'opinions'. But, more often than not, it's simply because we are presenting actual facts, not opinions. Facts that you are simply too misinformed, too sloppy, to take on board.

Take the above example. You offer a half-baked explanation that the coordinated use of the phrase 'Build, Back, Better' happened 'by accident' because it was 'catchy' or something. Well, you are simply wrong. It's public knowledge that the phrase was, and continues to be, coordinated at the international level via the World Economic Forum and was launched alongside the Great Reset initiative in 2020. Even google will tell you this. So don't blame us for your lack of research.

You’ve mentioned Desmet above and, presumably, you agree with what he has to say. That’s absolutely your right. But what he says isn’t an absolute fact, is it? It’s one psychologist’s interpretation of events. That’s an opinion, not something that automatically settles the argument.

Just for the record, I didn’t call you a c***. I said I can’t stand c****. Any inference you choose to draw from that is entirely your own business.

You seem to be working from the assumption that anyone who disagrees with you is a “normie” who’s had the wool pulled over their eyes. Alternatively, some of us simply don’t see conspiracy or hidden intent behind every major event.

You cited a psychologist. I’ll assume nobody in your family died of Covid, because if they had, you might appreciate why lived experience shapes people’s views. That doesn’t make me right, but it doesn’t make me blind either.

I’ve seen the inside of a Covid ward. My father caught Covid and died from it. I had Covid myself. Those experiences inevitably colour my view of what happened. Equally, I wouldn’t have another Covid jab because I do think there are legitimate questions about side effects. So this isn’t some blind defence of governments or pharmaceutical companies.

The point I’m making is that Covid was a real disease that caused real harm. We may never know with certainty where it came from, and I certainly don’t believe governments are incapable of misleading the public. I wouldn’t trust many politicians as far as I could throw them. But there’s a huge leap from accepting that governments sometimes get things wrong to concluding there was some coordinated exercise in mass control.

You talk about “the powers that be” as though that’s self-evident. Who exactly are they? Governments? Scientists? Pharmaceutical companies? Intelligence agencies? Across dozens of countries with competing political interests?

The irony is that you’ve accused me of believing things without question, yet you’ve done exactly the same in reverse. You’ve presented authors, psychologists and commentators whose conclusions you agree with. That’s not the same as presenting established facts. It’s presenting evidence that you’ve interpreted in a particular way.

That’s really my objection here. You’re perfectly entitled to your interpretation. I’m entitled to mine. But please don’t confuse your interpretation with objective fact, because they aren’t the same thing.

The old tried and tested conspiracy theorists name calling. I had to mention normie. I couldn’t help myself.

He is hard work mate. Just as bad as the slum landlord. Lol

It's so easy for people who try and ridicule us and to use the official narrative as fact.

They hide behind "experts" opinions whos lives and living depend on the government narrative.

As you and me have shown, "they can't handle the truth"

I wonder if he's every heard of event 201. Or lockstep from the john Hopkins society.

I don't wonder. Lol

I’m familiar with “Build Back Better”, and that’s actually the point I was trying to make. Major international organisations and governments will often agree on a common message because they’re communicating with billions of people across different countries and languages.

It’s exactly the same reason the term “circuit breaker” appeared instead of “second lockdown”. It was a piece of messaging.

The fact that the G7, which is literally a forum for the world’s major economies, agreed on a slogan and then repeated it publicly isn’t especially surprising to me. I’d actually be more surprised if they didn’t come out with a coordinated message during a global pandemic.

I’ve said repeatedly that I don’t blindly trust governments. I think they can mislead people, get things wrong and sometimes deliberately spin information. But there’s a difference between coordinated communications and coordinated conspiracy.

The existence of a shared slogan is a fact. What it proves is where we differ. To me, it proves that governments wanted to present a united public message during a global crisis. It doesn’t, by itself, prove there was some hidden agenda behind the pandemic itself.

At least own it. Intellectual dishonesty worthy of Dan.

Says a lot about you that does.

I’ve put this in bold because, unfortunately, I can’t use crayons on here.

I’ve said repeatedly that I don’t necessarily trust governments or everything they tell us. I’m not hiding behind experts’ opinions.

I’m basing my view on my own lived experience. I’ve had Covid myself. My dad caught something that didn’t progress like any ordinary respiratory virus and it killed him.

I’ve even said it’s possible that a particularly severe flu could have done the same. But the fact remains that he was diagnosed with Covid, I watched what it did to him, and I stood in a hospital ward while he died. That is the reality I experienced.

So when you accuse me of simply believing “the official narrative”, you’re wrong. My view isn’t based on a politician’s press conference or a psychologist’s theory. It’s based on what I saw with my own eyes.

Do I think governments can mislead people? Absolutely.

Do I think they prepare for pandemics in advance? Absolutely. They’d be negligent if they didn’t. We’ve had the Black Death, cholera, Spanish flu, Asian flu, HIV/AIDS, SARS, H1N1, Ebola and now Covid. Pandemics are part of human history, and they will happen again.

So yes, I accept Covid was a real and unique virus because that’s what my own experience tells me. You’re free to interpret the same body of evidence differently, but please stop pretending that your interpretation is objective fact while mine is simply me being fooled by “the man”.

That said - if in your eyes that makes me some slack-jawed yokel who’s willing to believe everything I’m told, so be it. I’d suggest it’s a lot less arrogant than assuming everyone who disagrees with you has simply failed to wake up.

The original debate we personally discussed was - is covid real. That was it . Nothing more.

I was happy to provide my view on it. It seems to have escalated out of control.

Let’s put this plainly then.

You’ve said that “normies” shut down when they’re presented with facts. So let’s take the most basic question: was Covid real?

You’ve read articles, watched interviews and listened to commentators, then reached your conclusion.

I stood in a hospital and watched my father die from the disease he had been diagnosed with. I also had Covid myself and experienced it firsthand.

So, when deciding whether Covid was real, I’m going to place rather more weight on what I personally witnessed than on somebody else’s interpretation of an interview, a paper or a YouTube video.

That doesn’t mean every government policy was justified, every statistic was accurate, every vaccine was harmless or every official statement was truthful. Those are separate arguments.

But was Covid real? Based on my own experience, yes. I’m going to conclude that it was.

The existence of a shared slogan is a fact. What it proves is where we differ. To me, it proves that governments wanted to present a united public message during a global crisis. It doesn’t, by itself, prove there was some hidden agenda behind the pandemic itself.

Sorry, but even the actual phrase itself proves you wrong.

'Build Back Better' does not refer to an immediate emergency response.
It literally refers to the coordinated post-pandemic agenda for society. It's staring you in the face.

Unfortunately, we are seeing a lot of this in real time.

People will reinvent themselves, reframe the debate, deny what they said, deny what others said, shoot the messenger .....Just about anything rather than admit they get it wrong, they were conned, they were misinformed.

I’m struggling to see why this is being presented as some sort of smoking gun.

The G7 is literally a forum where the leaders of the world’s largest advanced economies meet to coordinate their response to global events.

Politicians have always done this. Reagan had “Let’s Make America Great Again”. Thatcher had “Labour Isn’t Working”. Blair had “Education, Education, Education”. Cameron had the “Big Society”. Johnson had “Get Brexit Done”. Governments use short, memorable slogans because that’s how political communication works.

So yes, “Build Back Better” was coordinated. I don’t think anybody disputes that.

What it doesn’t do is prove a conspiracy. It proves that the G7 agreed on an approach after meeting to discuss how to respond to the economic consequences of a global pandemic. That’s exactly what the G7 was created to do.

If your argument is that governments coordinate their messaging, then we’re in complete agreement. If your argument is that a shared approach is proof of some hidden global plot, you’ve skipped over the bit where you actually provide the factual evidence for that leap.

You have just ignored science then and gone with an experience not based on science.

We were ironically told to follow the science.

Covid 19 was never isolated or subjected to the kock postulates.

I'm not denying your experience. Your dad and others obviously died of something.

My contention for it not being a new disease, was based on the knowledge that no scientific evidence has been produced to show it wasn't a current/old respiratory virus.

That's not me being arrogant and black and white. I am saying I have seen no scientific evidence

I actually agree with you on many points.

It was just the origins of covid that is the argument.

I don't know you, so I couldn't say you were this or that to be fair. Are you a yokel. Lol
Likewise you don't know me.

The NHS went through training and run drills for an outbreak not even 2 years before.

Just shows how poor the standards are here which doesn't surprise me considering I have seen and been involved in proper outbreaks in Asia multi times and the way they deal with infection control is different level to UK.

UK not even wearing proper PPE putting out messages like face covering/surgical masks stop spread of infection (They dont there has been studies for multi decade showing this yet when covid hit they made up new studies to claim otherwise)

Covid was not unique at all and the reports about it was about way before it was announced to people in UK.

It's tough you lost a family member but what evidence do you have that covid was the "cause" did they have no other health issues?

The whole covid ward thing is BS there was no such thing again I was walking around multi hospitals all over the country for work they was empty with most covid patients being put in same locations as normal people (The proper purpose setup locations they was never used)

99% recovery rate is a fact for covid and yes some people did die but the number was around how many die due to flu.

The people who wanted this spread was hoping it would be higher this was suppose to be big restart and it has now allowed changes which would never have been passed.

Plus average age of death 84. But let's all vaccinate the kids with an experimental mrna jab

Not a lot apart from watching him hooked up to oxygen and the speed he went down at.

Well that and the test results I’ve had and the inhaler I now have to use if I catch anything. Oh and the recovery time

And I was a healthy 39 year old at the time and I didn’t have underlying issues before -

I got incredibly sick from the vaccine and am only just starting to get over it. I don't fully blame the vaccine process, however, but I felt coerced into it as I wasn't allowed to work or travel without a certificate and my mother died abroad. I've spent years being lesser than what I was. I'm trying my best to just get on with things. As I say, I'm definitely getting better.

I think they had to roll it out the way they did, kind of damned if you do, damned if you don’t.
