Middlesbrough 1 2 Millwall

Used to be horrid in the 60s, only time I've been frightened at a game when they were in the Holmesdale separated by police.
Wasn’t great in 1990 when we beat them 2-1 at the old den to help relegate them when they were last in the top flight. I remember Andy Gray scoring a diving header right in front of us and the palace fans were singing ‘going down going down’ at their fans the other side of the fence.
I remember it well because I remember thinking as they were doing the slitting our throats motion at us as they streamed out of the ground to wait for us outside that this was the day I was probably going to die……..but thankfully I didn’t, we all jumped in the back of a mates pickup van parked near the ground and we was out of there 🤣

The result aside, what a brilliant, exciting game that was.

The reason why I watch more championship games than premier league these days.

Much more end to end, less play acting (although it seems to be seeping in) and no VAR!!!

always spoke to millwall on site or domestic jobs.
bit of banter but generally good.(and Brighton too)

Charlton...less said the better.
The clowns are a bitter bunch!! I obviously live near Charlton and I’ve met Charlton fans in the past that have been friendly at work on in a social capacity UNTIL they find out I support Palace and then their demeanour changes and they can’t deal with the fact.

I have a good friend that is a Charlton fan. He is very passive and gets on with everyone but he says that their fan base hate every other football team but they never know why and he says he finds it confusing. They don’t like us, Millwall, Norwich, gillingham……..and the list goes on and on!!
