I think fair comments have been made on HOL, and it's not like they've been posted back on her SM account.

I would venture the Everton fans forums are probably the place where harsh comments might be made.

Are you suggesting that we should feel sorry for a professional footballer who earns more in a week than many do in a year and his entitled wife who's only worry in life is if her bum looks big in her new designer leggings?

How long could they have known about the move? Not enough time to start packing boxes I suspect.

Why? Were we supposed to pay £20 m for a player we didn't need because it would be a nice thing to do?
Mateta's deal fell through and so did this one. That's a fact of life in football and he got his move from Burnley to Everton and hasn't impressed them enough to get a regular place.
He's a professional footballer who's seen untold numbers of young players not make it as far as he has. If he's that good he'll attract interest from other clubs.

On the face of it maybe…but it does seem that we could’ve handled it a lot better.

I certainly don’t like us poking fun at her. She’s supporting her partner through what has no doubt been a very difficult time (no matter how much he’s being paid). Fair play to her and he’s a lucky man to have that kind of support. If our club pulled the plug at the very last minute and then just ghosted them, that is shocking and not how a club should conduct business. I wish them both well for the future.

The agent is paid to handle all correspondence - the agent is the one to break the bad news, with all the details.

Fact is, he's still a prem player on a decent wage... seems to me his partner is fragile and couldn't handle being told she wasn't going to live in London for a bit...

I don't doubt he is upset but she has done him no favours by spreading it all over social media.

How many of us have failed to get that dream job when we thought it was ours? In my career that happened at least twice. It's not nice but you just have to suck it up and get over it. In 4 months he will probably be sold anyway.

My comment had nothing to do with the transfer failing but the rather nasty comments in the opening post which were completely unnecessary whether he was a rich footballer or a homeless person.

if you take the time to look into his partner's life you will see that life hasn't been that easy for her as she had emergency surgery to remove a large tumour from her ovary during which she "lost an organ or two"

As I have just said my comments were nothing to do with the failed transfer but the nasty comments put in the opening post which only goes to show that Faz isn't a very nice person if he think that's being clever

I don't think having surgery at some point means you don't have a comfortable life.

Posting on here should thicken the skin against the obnoxious. People never get any nicer. I'm sure you are wise enough to know that.

She’s a very young lady who has potentially had ovarian cancer (a tumour removed) and has also had other organ(s) removed. Poor lass, whatever your financial situation a serious condition like that would be absolutely s*** and life changing.

Putting the transfer details aside (yes deals fall through all the time), rightly or wrongly she outlined some of the ups and downs they’d been through in the last 48 hours and gave an insight into other factors affecting them.

They seem a strong couple and I would hope as a decent fan base we can be understanding and avoid the pile on and just wish them health and happiness for the future.

If not that, then at least put it all to one side and avoid the unkind comments.
