If he could flog off Larsen to Newcastle at close to €50m he would be an instant hero. I like Eddie but we need to cut our losses on him and Johnson. Admit we bought bad sell them and move on. Any losses will be offset on future profit from selling Wharton in 12 months time.

The rot started when their owners turned off the taps financially.

He presided over a highly successful period for the club, and they brought in their best players when he was DOF. Most were identified, and not hugely known or obvious targets.

Thanks, I hope for the same 😄 there are different ways of looking at most things and I try to take the optimistic version where possible. So long as it's all true. When there isn't one, I freely admit it.

I really wouldn't mind one bit if we just kept the squad exactly the same for the coming season. That's a different position than I had this time last year, where I wanted us to build on what we had.

My thinking here is, after everything we have achieved with this group over the last two seasons, just bringing in some fresh ideas (from Sage) rather than fresh faces, might be the better way to go, just for a season.
