Regardless of how true this might be I think he's entitled to feel a bit hard done by when, according to Capology, he's on £30 k a week less than Nketiah and £60 k less than JSL.
Of course football money is absurd but that can't make him feel particularly valued.

Are they offering a contract that brings him in line with those aforementioned Palace legends?

Yeah, you're probably right! But I would be intrigued to know whether he has a price that would keep him at Palace. Not that I ever will know, but I just wonder whether the damage is already done or whether his mind his made up irrespective of cash.

It's just what happens when you are older

Unfortunately he's saved his great season and a bit in the worlds highest profile league for his late 20s

Still lets hope he bangs them in for the rest of the season and then he'll get a move he's happy with and we'll get a transfer fee we are ok with

Which will be a better outcome than if he'd never played for us again after his January shenanigans

Yes but you'd think from his perspective it must be galling to have done so much more for the club than Eddie Nketiah, so far, and be earning so much less. I might be wrong and he's as happy as most would be to be paid £60,000 a week but there's surely part of him that wants to feel more valued than his understudy.

When my boy first went to school he would say"there was a test today and i didn't come last" and I would always say it is bad to compare yourself to the bottom of the heap, to be the best you beat the best. 😉

I would be thinking he wants to go anyways.

He wants he spot back but has JSL as competition, doubt he likes that.

Clickbait has always said he wanted a bigger club so not about the money. we made him an offer but I get the impression he wasn't interested in discussing terms so it wasn't a case of us low balling him and not meeting his expectations

I suppose if a bigger club doesn't come in he might change his mind.
 
So let’s all hope he will score 10-15 goals until the end of the season, plays and scores for France in the World Cup and gets his good paying move to Italy. So we can get a good price.

I also wouldn’t mind him staying, always sad when one of our fa cup winners leaves.
