Mateta

He asked the club to leave 2 weeks before window closes , he is his own worst enemy done earlier and would have known 2 weeks ago if someone would take a risk
You can't know that. Clubs often leave bids to the last minute: Palace being a prime example

We don’t know if he was offered surgery alongside Munoz and declined or if Glasner didn’t want to lose both at the same time. For him the decision must be surgery now or hope he gets enough game time to get in the French squad. I think he should have the op if that’s what he needs then focus on getting back his fitness and his mojo. Forget about the World Cup. Ultimately the competition won’t do him any harm.

Did someone at Mayday show the Italian doctor someone’s else’s Knee scans ?

My gran had hers done yesterday & they were lost until 3 pm today they found them - Initials JPM

Yesterdays man

Got to feel a bit for him (maybe). The way him and his agent have handed it has been nothing shorts of a shambles, however, hes been playing while injured and said injury will keep him out of the France squad for what likely will be his one and only chance to play in a World Cup (if he was ever good enough to anyway) as well as blocking his dream move to Italy.

Treated the club like s*** but he's not a Palace fan, I can't expect him to have the same loyalty as us and to take his chance to enhance his career when he can. Will be interesting to see what happens next, if he can get to full fitness, if he will ever play for us again and what kind of reception will he get if he does.

I'd suggest he gets on the phone to Guehi and take his advise on how to conduct yourself when your big move falls through.

I can just imagine him returning to Copes Cope Rd for training, after telling the world he doesn't want to play for us anymore, what sort of welcome will he get? We should send him off to get his knee operated on, then make he train with the youngsters and sell him in the summer.
He has blown any chance of going to the World Cup, which were slim anyway.

At this point just let him have the surgery, leave him out of the team to recover (provided Strand Larsen kicks on immediately), and then maybe bring him back in in the tail end of the season. No point rushing back a half-fit player who doesn't want to be here. Not like he has any right to complain either. Palace were ready to let him go, he failed the medical and Milan pulled the plug, club aren't at fault.

His injury was minor otherwise he wouldn't have played.

So it's like saying you have gone to work with a cut finger you put a plaster on.

In sports they like the overplay or exaggerate things.

I just hope Palace can get good money for him in the summer to many transfer we are messing up and losing out on a lot of £££.

So Milan wanted Mateta as an nkunku replacement. Who then wanted to stay earlier today. Maybe milan said he failed the medical to get him on the cheap in the summer?

Just another spin on it but it could really have been the knee?

I find it funny Jamie Redknapp said “what on earth do you do next after failing a medical?”.

Well surely you of all people can answer that question for us Jamie, you’ve failed your fair share over the years… and everyone else’s.

I have no sympathy for him. He decided to leave (us) and now it's all backfired. He wanted double salary and champions league - now got the bench and a get fit task ahead of him.

Saw pics of him in training just jacking about and being Mr big Bollo+ks ...

Sorry but I think he's got what he deserved.

Maybe try putting in a shift and scoring a few easy one-on-ones
