Eze + Guehi were respectful about leaving those the latter two jp and ollie not so much

Pretty much how I see it.

I don't think we have a hope in hell of recruiting a better striker in the next 10 days, but ultimately there's little point in keeping a player who doesn't want to be here.

He's out of form, but is a proven goalscorer at this level, which is something we spent a decade (and many millions) trying to find pre-JP. Despite his poor season, he's still the joint 5th top scorer in the Premier League.

I think it's utterly bizarre how keen some are to move him on.

I think it's even more bizarre to see people aiming abuse at him after what he has achieved here.
 
Reported he wants silly money to stay. I think I agree with Palace he’s not worth it and if anybody else is willing to give it to him he can go. No problems with JP it’s just how it is
 
If he wants to go (transfer request in), then there's no point keeping him. We can only hope if Palace play him, he scores loads to raise his value, and doesn't get injured doing it.

18 months left on contract , makes him 30 when it gets extended mmm , cash in or sell next window
 
It's a pity, but what is he now 29? So with 18 months left on his contract then it's probably the best time to cash in on him. Him saying he wants to leave makes it easier for the club to agree to a sale, taking into account the current mood of everyone at the moment.

What's important, as always, is making sure we sign a good replacement.... 🤔
 
We have to stand up to guys like him who are under contract and 18 months is still a long time. Tell him if he has any dreams of going to the WC then buckle down and start scoring and there’ll be a queue of bigger clubs looking to sign him next summer. And tell interested clubs now the price is €50m plus because that’s what it would cost to replace him.

He's reportedly on £50k a week, which in Prem terms is pretty small fry.

A France international who has only been outscored by Haaland, Salah and Isak over the past 2.5 seasons is surely worth a huge pay rise on that?
