It's just clickbait but if true it sums up what is wrong at Manure. Get a high profile player rather than a player who will get the job done.

My guess is that the analysts at the club have realised that JPM wont sell as many shirts in the far east so have vetoed it.

As much as Olise was a reason for talented young players to join Palace to develop their careers with top flight PL football, he is also a poster child for moving on to bigger clubs, higher salaries and worldwide recognition.

IMHO he did it the right way and hence I hold no grudge against him for making the decisions he did. Those close to him (Eze, JP, Guehi and even Wharton) will be very familiar with his story.

Olise was the pick of the bunch but already looks one of the best players in one of the best teams in the world. It has to be top of mind for our other very talented players.
