Marc Guéhi

Yes it is..!!

We have our Manager - the Manager that has just taken us to the echelons we only ever dreamed of until last season - calling out broken promises, lack of backing in this window and publicly going head to head with SP..!!

Then todays fiasco..!!

Frankly embarrassing..!!
Might add clueless and inept Chairmanship..!!

Maybe this was always the plan. Make it conditional on getting replacements, but then can’t get deals done… Guehi stays, but feels as if Palace tried. Perhaps he’ll leave in January, with Palace trying to get others interested to maximise the price from other European clubs that might need reinforcements as they enter later stages of the Champions League. In the meantime we look at replacements… but still leave it to the last minute!

I feel sorry for Marc because he has acted with great integrity, had apparently (?) agreed terms in July with Liverpool and is on a modest wage in his present contract here, which he now has 5 more months to serve.

I hope he gets to follow his fitting destiny at a super-club soon

Glad to hear he's staying, but I can't help but feel this has made irrepairable damage to the relationship between Glasner and Parish/the club.
Sure there's damage, but who knows about relationships. ?

Trust will have to be rebuilt, probably between quite a few people. But i'm sure there were also external factors beyond the clubs control.

Already said that, twice, Parish's Company Smoke and Mirrors

If you ignore all the click bait, rumours and hype nonsense surrounding the transfer window it was a pretty standard one. We sold Eze (who wanted to go) and Eduard plus a few other bench warmers. We bought a backup left back, centre back and goalie plus a replacement for Eze. And we kept all our other star players. Fairly good compared to other seasons and the windows for teams like Brentford, Fulham, Bournemouth etc. We could try and persuade MG to sign a deal this season but he will likely go on a free and get a massive sign on bonus at Liverpool next year. Win win for MG. He doesn't want to stay, we can't make him. Luckily he is a professional and not a cry baby like Isak. Fans get so riled up over transfer windows, stirred up by the media and agents planting nonsense rumours.

Firstly Guehi isn’t a junior we’re trying to tempt the likes of Stockport with. Secondly player power today and being a free agent next summer means Guehi decides everything. Us wanting some cash in January is irrelevant unless a club Guehi likes needs him asap and he doesn’t want to hold out for a huge signing in fee as a free agent.

Well yeah it has been a fiasco… but if Parish, Glasner and Guehi can get out of this and still stand each other enough to be motivated to win (Guehi and Glasner are winners), if Solomon signs… has the window been that bad?

Considering that, minus Eze whose replacement looks decent, we have kept the squad that is unbeaten in 14 and have won the last two domestic finals. Palace have had worse outcomes to fiascos.

Guehi has 8-9 more months to serve of his contract, but he can sign in advance in January for a foreign club.
