Any terrorist attack like this is outrageous and deserves the condemnation of every decent person. Which it seems to be getting.
Terrorism is unfortunately not new and whilst intelligence thwarts many attempts it’s impossible to stop them all.
Whilst we haven’t yet heard, if we ever will, what the motive was it’s a reasonable assumption that it was probably connected to the situation in Gaza.
If I was a member of the British Jewish community I would feel very uncomfortable at the moment, despite having no connection to, let alone any responsibility for, that which the current Government of Israel are doing. Targeting British citizens just because they share a religious belief with others in another country is simply appalling.
I despise anti semitism. I also despise the behaviour of the current Israeli government. A government which is doing nothing to diminish anti semitism or make overseas Jewish communities safer.

These are very dangerous times for Jewish people in Britain. They make up 0.5% of the population but are the victims of 40% of hate crimes. Blame the Israeli government as much as you like but anti-Semitism is on the rise here and doesn't get anywhere near the coverage of other cases.
You see how the despicable Wisbech Eagle wants to shift blame for the killings from the Islamic terrorist to the Israeli govt for encouraging anti semitism by their actions.

Minor point. Jihad is a misused word.
Jihad in Islam refers to a personal struggle to be a good Muslim, no different to other religions who recognise that there is a gap between the sacred texts and people's every day lives.
Of course that struggle has now been co-opted to mean violence against non believers.
So calling your kid Jihad is no more sinister than calling your kid Faith.

As I said the word has been misused it means an internal conflict. No different than Christians who struggle on a daily basis to adhere to their faith whilst dealing with the realities of the world we live in.
Unfortunately radical Islam now use it as an external struggle.

I don't know for sure but it looked like there were pro-Palestine protests outside the synagogue and perhaps outside other synagogues. There seemed to be a guy squaring away a Palestine flag. Maybe more will come out but I wouldn't be too sure.
I'm suspecting there are protests and harassment outside all the synagogues in Britain.
If anybody were to protest outside mosques then that's far right. But again, outside synagogues is the correct type of protest for this government and society apparently.

I know for sure which religion is able to adapt to similar values to mine and European ones and which one is not at all. And really that's all we need to know. We know - but we can't see it apparently. Increasingly, we're not allowed to state it.
