Noades had all sorts of ideas he had spoke about them that the council would agree until it come to official planning (He implied they wanted pay offs)

He purchased a lot of the housing around the ground to get over regulations.

Biggest mistake is selling to Sainsbury this for me is another reason we need to get out of the place there is no proper future at this ground unless we want to stay small.

I think we are stuck at Selhurst for the foreseeable. I'm sure that money can overcome most expansion issues. We just need someone to provide it.

Just came across this. I know nothing about the creator of the video but it's pretty up to date. Interesting to see what looks like begining of a strip out of part of the main stand lounges or whatever...

Interesting little video - clever things these drones. I'm fascinated by how they stay so still even in a breeze. This bloke says he goes round all stadium developments filming this stuff. Funny way to make a living.

Interesting to see scaffolding up around the brick-built extension to the rear of the Main Stand. Perhaps that is to come down next?

So our target is to be a major global brand, what's the time frame on that?

I want us to improve and grow the club but we need to be realistic

For example, we are a smaller club than West Ham by any metric other than last two years' success.

By the metric that we own a stadium and they dont!!!!

I think we are stuck at Selhurst for the foreseeable. I'm sure that money can overcome most expansion issues. We just need someone to provide it.

I have no doubt you are correct as putting £150-200 million in the refurb will prevent any new stadium talk for the foreseeable future.

I presume these are supports for temporary structures? Perhaps those platforms in the photo?

Yeah maybe, or storage and welfare facilities for the builders.

Either that, or the drive to find cheaper construction methods for the structure of the stand has resulted in the smallest foundations ever.

Either way, something is happening. There will be people in high-vis involved, no doubt. Very exciting.

On an earlier page somebody posted a proposed timescale and one thing I think is pretty certain is that the fan zone will come down soon.

They'll want a temporary fan zone for the season ahead as I imagine it brings in a reasonable revenue. Whether it will be suspended on mysterious metal stilts as the above photo suggests, who knows? But the speculation has excited me!

Not right up to them. A far enough distance that their living conditions remain acceptable, factoring in which directions the windows face, the orientation of the buildings, etc and so on.

That's exactly the kind of dubious justification someone like you would come up with.

I'm all seriousness, there won't be any windows in the Wooderson Close houses facing the Holmesdale. Can you imagine the conflict of interests if Palace are nil nil at home to Coventry and you can just about glimpse a lady getting changed over there?
