Lula defies gravity, he is 82 and he certainly gets up early in the morning.

The people mobilised behind him, it is not that unexpected imo, they realised Trump was interfering in their countries affairs for a reason.

A good day for Brazil, the world (amazon rain forest) and democracy.

Brazilian elections remind me of South Vietnam in the 1960s. You are getting a corrupt person who won't be able to do much either way no matter which way you go.

Flávio Bolsonaro's passport was just seized and the Brazilian Supreme Court is going to go after him for corruption. The good part for Brazil is that there aren't really military factions there so there won't be a civil war, just massive unrest.

Unfortunately, the Brazilian Real is getting ready to look like our defense recently and is going to crash as Silva tries to fix the economy despite the Liberal Party* controlling both houses of Congress. So Silva will be in charge with little ability to actually do anything with the office.

*Because its South America and they like to do odd things, the Liberal Party is the right wing party that Bolsonaro is part of while Silva is part of the Workers' Party.
