I watched this documentary recently. Has anyone else seen it? At the moment it apparently is only available on Netflix so I cannot provide a link. There is though plenty of analysis available, including this:-

It wasn’t an easy watch. I found the attitudes shown by the “influencers” appalling. Unapologetic misogyny, anti semitism and racism. Not a shred of concern for their impact on others. Making money is everything.

These guys are mostly young, self centred and mouthy. 40 years ago, they would be city traders inspired by Thatcher. Some reminded me of Harry Enfield’s “Loadsamoney” character. Only interested in flouting their money.

What though was striking were the use of terms familiar to any regular reader of these threads. The enemy is the “Matrix”. Taking the “red pill”. “Soy boys”. Etc, etc. So it seems some here might themselves either be part of the Manosphere or at least be sympathetic to it.

Yes I watched it with one of my daughters. You are right that they liked to refer to ridiculous conspiracy theories. Normally people resort to such theories to explain their failures, but these people were, in material terms, successful, and instead used them to justify their selfishness.

Definitely worth a watch, though I have had more than a hint of these sorts of attitudes as my daughters went through their late teens and early twenties. Until then I thought such attitudes died out with the 1980's.

Yes, I’ve seen it, I watch all of Louis Theroux’ stuff because he is absolutely fantastic at what he does.

The Manosphere was another excellent programme and was a very interesting watch.

No interest in rising to the bait, as your loaded comments are not worthy of a response.

Young men have become so emasculated over the last few years; its obvious that these grifters will come along. Young men are looking for guidance.

My son who is 15, had a school assembly a little while back, warning of Andrew Tate.

Now I am no fan of him. He talks some sense but is basically a grifter who has ripped off both men and women. He's clever, I'll give him that.

One of my sons rather enlightened friends called out in the assembly, to suggest that Cardi B talks about men in the same way Tate does, but they were not talking about women treating men badly.

It's the double standards in life that do my head in.

They are a symptom not a cause.

Looking forward to your analysis of feminist influencers and OF 304s
They may well be a symptom. They certainly haven’t arisen from nowhere. They are though a dangerous symptom of something seriously wrong and dangerous in modern society.

I don’t see anything similar coming from feminist influencers. They aren’t a healthy development either but in a very different way.

The female equivalent is out there.

The modern culture treats boys like defective girls and it disgusts me.

They know they are doing it and they don't care because there are no negative consequences for them. Until there is the culture won't change.

It's heartening that these lads are calling it out.

Yep, Tate comes with problems, especially how he made his money. He's has accurate criticisms of the culture and the ruling ideology that it belongs to which is why they hate him so much. But try as they might to change it, young males are willing to give him a hearing because he's one of the few voices out there willing to speak about masculinity in a positive light.

Perhaps if what the social liberals were offering young boys and men weren't so crap then they would move on from Tate, but as usual all they offer is a double down.

This is because.....and obviously I'm generalising here......biologically men are born to hunt and kill prey and also protect the tribe and defend it from enemies human or not, hence a lack of relative empathy is required when negative things happen to enemies.

Women are made to pick berries and reproduce and thus don't have that same level of aggression and have more empathy. Their skills are social and cooperative, which are important traits for raising young.

Natural law.

I strongly feel like you and most the regular posters on this board would be far happier if they just had sex with a woman again.

It’s extremely obviously none of you have recently.

The documentary just a funny exposure of what slightly clever idiots like PJW who make a living off views and clicks from less clever idiots like people who post them on sites like this, to get more clicks and views from massive morons.

I suppose as an inevitable reaction but it is surely small scale and irrelevant. These macho influencers have gained a lot of support and are a toxic and unwelcome development which needs exposure and counter measures.

Being a real man is about owning yourself, knowing yourself and protecting those who are threatened by others.

Not this weak version you portray of victimhood and blaming others for your own shortcomings to make you feel superior.

Suspect it's the other way around and is a reaction to thirty years of Third Wave Feminism.

It’s a great deal worse than that.

These guys are not simply demonstrating the positive aspects of manliness. They are all about selfishness, misogyny, cruelty and hatred. They are just bad people. That would be true whether male, female or confused.

That cannot be defended. It must be called out.
