Liverpool have Won the title...............

Liverpool do have the title, but only through lack of opposition. Arse, ManC, Chelsea all faltering badly.
I would include ManU and Spurs, but their default position is 'faltering'.

'Pool are head and shoulders the most consistently good team in the league this year. Even when playing badly, they've managed to pick up points - often all 3 points too. But I haven't been overly impressed by them. They still look beatable and have (as alluded to) been a bit ropey on occasion.

I think it's a good example of 'transition bounce'; Klopps attacking high pressing exciting albeit leaky team merged with Slots more defensive setup has, for now at least, given them a decent blend of defence and attack. Will be interesting to see how they perform next year.

And if Spurs can go all Spursy what happens to Arsenal?
i recently overheard an Arsenal supporter talking about his team. In the middle of a sentence he included the expression that their manager & squad was "reasonably good" and i cracked my hole laughing at the irony of it. He never even thought about the meaning of that. Not for any top four team.

Very disappointed with Arsenal this season. Two years going head to head with city must have taken it's toll.

Seems the only time another team can win it is when man city have a really bad off season
The only good thing Arsenal have done in recent years was thumping Real 3-0 last week in the Champions league. Those Prima donas from Madrid including Bellingham deserved a good beating even if it was all about three exceptional and unexpected shots. Without meaning to change the subject, I am awaiting the second leg with baited breath.

It's funny how nobody ever says this when other teams win the league. When it's City or, back in the day, United, they apparently won the league because they were so good, not because everyone else was rubbish.

I don't know if I'm the only Liverpool fan on this forum, but I will always be honest about the team: we are easily the best team in the land at the moment and, with the addition of Florian Wirtz, are only going to get better next season, especially as Slot has now had a year's experience of the Premier League.

Definitely done some good business so far. Though losing Trent not ideal.
Liverpool were by far the best team, I'd agree. However, there was certainly a drop off in opposition this time. The only realistic threat were Arsenal - which sounds laughable, but they're a decent side with a decent manager. Despite how much I dislike them.

City were poor, Utd not worth mentioning, Chelsea didn't know what they were doing. Newcastle just aren't there yet, but close. Don't know who else to mention.
Mid table teams are stronger now but the relegation teams are poor, and the top teams, other than Liverpool and Arsenal seem to be in transition.

Though losing Trent not ideal.
Bradley is a more solid defender than Trent ever was, and Frimpong has been added to the mix.

Trent's main asset was his playmaking ability, but we have replaced that with another playmaker - Wirtz - who plays far further up the pitch.

Adding the indefatigable Kerkez to replace the declining Robbo is another significant upgrade. If we can find a less erratic (Nunez) or injured (Jota) centre forward, it's going to be difficult for anyone to stop us next season.
