Lerma

Lerma probably not happy with how much game-time he has got. If i were him, i would wait and see what the new manager will think of him. Then walk in Christmas, if still not happy.

Lerma will be easier to replace than Eze/Olise/Guehi.

I think his time here has more or less, naturally come to an end. He's not the player he was three years ago.

Utility players are their own worst enemies in many respects one being they make perfect substitutes . But he is 31 and Palace are well known for not offering anything but a year at a time to over 30's . So its probably that more than wanting more games

He probably thinks he can secure a two or three year deal somewhere else ,especially as no transfer fee would be involved .
He would certainly give a bit of PL experience to one of the promoted teams

Anyone who was not a VERY close follower of C.P.F.C. would ask who I'm sure we will replace him with a far better option.

He came to us as a free agent, so this is modus operandi. Less intensity is some of the leagues abroad and probably a better climate.
Be sad to see him go. Always think he plays better when he starts than coming on later.
Think he’s well paid so should free up some money.

In the twilight of a career, this is ultimately going to be the driver. If someone will offer him 2/3 years guaranteed cash he's going to take it.

One of our greatest free signings. Been brilliant for us (including the last 40 mins as centre back in cup final) but he's struggled recently.

For the first half of the season I would have said he would be a contender for player of the season (at least the player furthest exceeding expectations), but I think he's been quite poor in recent weeks. Potentially very useful cover at centre back as he is very competitive and great in the air, but he is by no means irreplaceable, and probably getting worse each season from now.
