Leicester City: Club win PSR appeal against Premier League charge

Leicester win an appeal against a decision that could have led to a points deduction for an alleged breach of Premier League Profit and Sustainability rules.

Sounds like the current PSR roles are yet again not fit for purpose.

Leicester basically extended their accountancy so they could claim they weren't a premier league and then told the EFL they were a premier league club. and the commission agreed. Apparently they were in breach by a fair bit. If they hadn't been relegated they would be looking at 6 point penalty...

Effectively played the system and have got away with it... (assume forest and Everton will be fuming)

They mat still get charged for a breach this season however

So essentially the best way around FFP/PSR is too get relegated and load all your spending between May 31st - June 31st - and come straight back up without any consequences!

Not the first time they've been "clever" with the rules.

Leicester are the reason teams get a 10 point deduction now for going into administration after what they did in the early 00's.

What I didn't find palatable was that it seemed the Mendy rape case was solved by money. And that had to be facilitated by someone. Presumably this guy.
