Leeds game moved to 20th December, ko 8pm

The Premier League have agreed to move our away fixture at Leeds to a 8pm kick off on Saturday 20th December. Arsenal's game at Everton has also been moved to the same time, giving each team an additional 18 hours recovery before our Carabao cup game. However we still have to play KuPS in the Conference League on Thursday 18th December just 48 hours before the rearranged game against Leeds.

Thoughts anyone?

Apparently UEFA refused our request to move the Conference league game against KuPS, as they insist on all the final group games being played on the same day at the same time.

Away wins at Strasbourg and Shelbourne would be most welcome as that should secure us a top 8 in the Conference

Then KuPS can really be a free hit with the second 11

I can see us winning in Dublin but Strasbourg are going to be a tough nut to crack. They are going well in the French league and are in the same ownership as Chelsea, having several former and current Chelsea players on their roster.

In other words we may well have to beat KuPS to make the top 8 and avoid a play-off game in the new year.

I think OG is the first Palace manager who I occassionally question, but if anyone were to ask me "Do you think you could do better?", I'd honestly answer "No".

So whenever I play this through in my head, I think to myself "So just shut up then" 🤣
Yep.
I think what we are seeing is that whilst Glasner will try and win every competition he will focus more on the cups because he's already shown he can win them both with Frankfurt and us.

Let's face it we're not going to win the PL this season and it's a tough ask for us to make the CL places but we could win one of the 3 cup competitions and get European football again next year.

Arsenal away is a tough ask and even tougher if they get more recovery time than us before we play them. At least both teams now have the same recovery perod.

He really needs to learn to rotate a few players. But who am I to judge 😅
Yes, i think Uche has deserved a few more minutes, with Canvot and hopefully Riad the CD looks Rotatable, we might as well send Esse out on loan, another attacking player is vital, or two, loans ok.

Really hope we keep Guehi until the end of this season at least.
Canvot looked really good v Brighton and will only get better, so we have got good cover already. And if Riad comes through his lengthy injury issues he may well add to the cover.
I dont see Uche staying especially if he is on some sort of return deal.
Esse, well so far he hasnt shown Glasner anything in matches, although Glasner must see something to have him in the squad.
UEFA are a stubborn bunch of tankers. Pathetic they won't agree to let us play a day early. Integrity of the tournament??? How about welfare of our players?

Prefer us to put out a first choice team against Arsenal and rotate against Leeds.
If we were to beat Arsenal a semi final place and knocking them out of a domestic cup along with Liverpool and Manchester City, away from Selhurst in the same year would be a memorable achievement.
Agreed. Arsenal obviously is the toughest game of the three. Some rotation and we should still be getting a win against KUPS (if we still need one) then again against Leeds (a draw there a great result if we helps us progress in the two cups) then full strength against Arsenal, hoping they are concentrating more on the league.
