League (carabao) Cup

I know Ollie wants to win every competition this season....but this is one I wouldn't mind going out early 🙊
Depends...assuming we get through to the Conference League stage, then concentrating on the Carabao Cup just means we double up on a potential european competition next year, and I don't think we have the squad depth to go all out in both competitions. Drop out of the Conference and we are still in the Carabao Cup, then yes, have a good go at it as it gives you a european spot earlier in the season. Winning the Carabao Cup also gives us another day out at Wembley - which is always special!!
But there is also a target on our backs being the FA Cup holders, as inevitably the expression "the FA Cup holders are out" is pre-programmed into football journo's match reporting. Depends what happens on Thursday and how comfortable the 3rd round draw is for us.

Whoever we draw we will need to play some of the fringe players otherwise risk overplaying main players even if we get another 3-4 through the door

I want a variety of trophies. Win this one and duck out of the FA Cup. I know that makes zero sense financially but I just wanna say we've won them all. Got a taste for it now.

I'm the same. Let's win the Carabao Cup this season. Look at how we never heard the end of Newcastle winning it. Only to be completely upstaged by us. However, there was still far, far more coverage of Newcastle winning the league cup than there was of us winning the proper cup. Therefore, let's see how they react this season when we slyly win the Carabao.

Probably because sky can broadcast it. They barely mention the FA Cup most seasons.
