Labour MP arrested

As Labour overwhelmingly WON the last General Election the odds on anyone being arrested from the House Of Commons was very much stacked in favour of being a Labour M.P. like everyone else he is innocent until proven guilty or innocent.

He's admitted what he did. If you don't think that's wrong because the party won the election then fair enough.
 
You said innocent until proven guilty - he has already admitted his guilt and should be suspended and he told to give the £10k to charity.
He is as corrupt as the rest of them but got caught!

Have you got the intelligence to understand that under prolonged police interrogation people admit to anything.Read the chilling case of Timothy Evans who lived at 10 Rillington Place (the home of John Christie the serial killer) and was hung but was innocent. Many people have admitted murder under intense prolonged police "questioning". A young boy walked into a Nottingham police Station and admitted to the murders of Lynda Mann and Dawn Ashworth,the police hated it when DNA proved the young boy as innocent,it was proven by DNA to be the crimes of Colin Pitchfork.

Not sure either case is analogous. Evans being illiterate and having a mental age of 10 made him very vulnerable to manipulation and Pitchfork had previously been cleared on DNA evidence (he got someone else to take the test. Joseph Wambaugh's book The Blooding tells the story).

In both cases the police were very happy that the confessions were solid and were ready for trial both confessions were spurious.A confession does NOT mean guilt.Are you claiming that Evans disability made him worthy for hanging?He was innocent.

I don't think there is any police investigation at all into the MP. I don't think it's a criminal offence - although it should be. Has he paid tax on that 10 grand? Yeah, right.

No, of course not. Isn't that obvious? I'm saying that his disability made him more susceptible to confessing under duress. It's hard to see how this MP was in a remotely similar situation.

Huge numbers of people are locked up ans have signed confessions written by a police sargent hence the commonly known phrase

" being fitted up." Back to Timothy Evans the pathologist Simpson died telling anyone who would listen that there were two murders living at 10 Rillington Place, Farcical.
