A few places linking us to this lad. Has just left Monaco so would be on a free.

Mostly plays Right Wing, but can play Right Back too. Knows Sarr from the national team.

Not a world beater, but has European experience and probably a sensible signing from a squad depth perspective. Certainly makes more sense then 25m for Gussand.

seems to be more of a RB than a winger these days, that's definitely where he played for Senegal in the WC.

His goal scoring record is terrible too, which suggests he's more defensive minded.

Not sure a big bosman wage for a squad player is the best option for us ATM unless Munoz might be sold.

He wants €2.5m per year(this is mentioned in the clickbait sites), that equates to approx £45.5k pw, so below the average wage of the current squad.

Yep resonable reported salary requests, and chance to play in the prem. Might be the RB back up we've wanted for some time.

Big tick for me. We need to be spart with picking up a couple of decent free's every summer. Even if its just for depth.

Sarge will have seen him up close for the last couple of seasons, so will know what he can do

I followed Senegal during the World Cup because of Sarr's involvement.
I was very impressed by their right back who was very quick and strong, attack minded and full of energy.
This actually was Diatta who we are now linked with.
As we are now well stocked in this position with Munoz, Mingueeza, Cardines, Kphora and Imray (although a couple of these will probably go on loan), it doesn't look like a priority position for us.
Having said that, looking at Diatta's playing stats it looks like he's versatile and can play in a number of positions.

I can see the attraction of adding him to the squad.

I agree doesn't seem a priority position if we do get him I assume then that some of our youngsters will be sold.

Yes both him and Mingueza seem to be able to play on either flank which would be useful with another round of European football. I think Imray may well get sold, Cardines should probably get a loan in order to play regularly and develop, Kphora has had a lot of injury problems so I guess he just needs to stay fit.

Would be a shame if Imray went. Has done really well on his loans and been a fans’ favourite. Good in attack and defence in the Munoz mould. Ok that’s not in the Prem but if he’s not given a chance we will never know….

not sure a proven international on a bosman would accept those figures - clickbait site figures should be taken with a pinch of salt.

If the figures are in the right ball park then he could be a decent squad player, although as mentioned RB seems to be one of our stronger positions ATM

People are assuming Munoz is staying but he could well be sold for a tidy profit in the knowledge we have replacements already here.
