He is not feigning injury so genuine injury , and I think that will stop him from getting in the starting 11 . Due to the injury getting worse over time , which means we got the best out of him . Doubt if we can sell him so , we might even terminate his contract in January. But could be wrong with the last bitWhat does any of that mean?
One that I also share from the main stand, think he gets some unfair criticism on here but guess that's down to the price tag, which he had nothing to do with. One thing I especially like about him is he is constantly geeing up players (and the crowd), something that has gone a bit with a vast majority of the "god squad" going. After Khalaili's mistake for their goal he was the first, and I think only player, to go over to him and give him some words of confidence. Whilst for £40+ million I expect more on the pitch than a cheerleader we need some people like this to replace Max and the others.Watching from the main stand I personally feel he deserves more credit for his performance yesterday. He was trying to link up play, put his body on the line and was unlucky not to score. He made life difficult for their defence.
Anyway, just MY opinion
This is exactly how I feel. Mateta is the past, JSL is the future. I'd prefer to get behind Jorgen. Cant wait for Mateta to be goneHaters will hate. JSL appears to be more active and involved as the season has progressed and is part of a side that is actually scoring goals, a part in most of the action and directly responsible for 2 of the goals against Forest. He has a growing understanding with those around him and will I believe reach double figures this season.
Matata, no thanks. He would be gone already if his move to the Milan club hadn't fallen through and has shown his true colours, a snide fraud who wanted out.

A ding dong game was the quote I meant to highlightDoes a great interview too.

He was in on a couple of the goals but he certainly didn't show the composure of Pino or KamadaFirst one just got his studs to the ball , so nothing he can do more , another one it hit the keepers shoulder in a tight area , cant remember the other one properly think that was bad one for me ,
Only PlL player to have scored a hat-trick in a game where his xG>3Mateta was about 1 in 10 before he got injured and wanting out, he really was missing a lot of chances, so JSL is still an improvement 🤣

I would definitely like our striker taking at least one, but we didn’t *need* that in this game ultimately because he helped set up two goals. He can definitely improve his finishing significantly but that has been true of basically every striker we have had for 20 years. All this may be true...but there were three very scoreable chances that he missed. We need our striker taking at least one of those. Top class strikers would take two of them. He took none. Jury is out for me still. Generally you don't buy strikers for their link up play (although I accept it's a really handy skillset to have, in addition to scoring goals.)
I refer you to a Mr Glenn Murray. Dwight Gayle, too. Less useful around the park, but a great finisher. They do exist.I would definitely like our striker taking at least one, but we didn’t *need* that in this game ultimately because he helped set up two goals.
