Josh Harris Possible Full Takeover Bid ?

Parish will sell up at some stage of course, but tabloid stories are worth nothing.

Parish is wed to Palace. I can't see him quitting until the new stand is built at the very least.
If he did go, it would be in order to facilitate something very advantageous for the club.

Why would he sell up he owns something like only 9%.

I could see him keeping a low amount of shares in the club and leaving his current role but not fully selling up he is making to much cash from Palace.

If they chose to get rid of him they could do that he has his position because of the others.

I can see him stepping away after new stand. (He needs to stop messing about and knock the thing down and rebuild it quicker to do this and cheaper only downside is you lose that stand capacity for the multi years it takes)

I do wonder if they really are look at other options for a new stadium it makes more sense money wise.

Whilst I’m perfectly happy with the role Parish is performing as Chairman we should not view potential changes as unhealthy or hostile.

In the past it has been centered on Textor but his philosophy has not been in line with anyone within the club.

Josh Harris seems a very different character who as owner of the Washington Commanders (Redskins) has transformed that franchise and local community from poor performing to contenders in short order!

Football is about money and a level of calculated risk and I believe he has both! The glue to this success will be Glasner and something needs to change to back him.

One can only speculate.

Under the current agreement it is. After a takeover anything could happen. Whoever owns the club will decide.
They may just continue as rather sleepy partners. We just don't know.
I expect Textor tried to get rid of Steve but my guess is that the others wouldn't back him. Dislikeable fellow but that shouldn't stop strictly business. I get the feeling there's more to Textor and Woody, Harris and Blitzer than we know about.
Textor does not seem to be trusted.
We will have to wait and see how it plays out.

As others have said it appears bizarre. The one thing that occurs is at the time Johnson was the prospective buyer of Textor`s shares who could raise the money quickest. What if Harris and/or Blitzer approached Johnson to get the deal done with the agreement that when They (Harris and Blitzer) had raised the funds they would buy the shares off Johnson and pay him a bit more as a profit/fee ?

Josh wrote this on LinkedIn in May ;

After 164 years, Crystal Palace Football Club are FA Cup champions, for the first time ever.

At Wembley Stadium, we took on Manchester City in a final that will go down in club history. Eberechi Eze had the winner and Dean Henderson delivered a heroic performance in goal, including a penalty save that kept us alive. It was a gritty and fearless full-team effort.

Amazing to celebrate this milestone with my family, from my son Thomas Harris cheering from Boston, to my wife, Marjorie Harris by my side, and with my partners David Blitzer, David Adelman, John Textor, Eric Linn, and, of course, Chairman Steve Parish and so many others who have supported this journey.

Steve, your leadership and devotion to this club made today possible.

Huge credit as well to Manager Oliver Glasner, whose leadership and vision have brought new energy and belief to Selhurst Park.

The fans showed up in full force, bringing the spirit that defines this community. Wherever you are, hashtag#SouthLondonProud.

This isn’t just a trophy – it’s a turning point. Next up – the Europa League. Let’s go! Up the Palace!

Perhaps this was also a turning point in his interest in CPFC ?
Hardly the kind of comments from a shareholder clearly intent on enlarging his presence who would in the same breath be sanctioning the sale of our best two players, completely upsetting our new found strengths in our team, manager, fans........I dont think so!!

In private companies it often is.
