There is a danger that going forward Parish may be considered untrustworthy. He stopped the Guehi deal at the last moment at the last transfer window, and it looks like he is stopping Milan getting Mateta and leaving Larsen not knowing where he will be playing.
Of course, we are only seeing what the press tells us and everything may be fine behind the scenes with both players ending up where they want to be. But if not, I can see Parish being ostracised by other clubs, refusing to sell or buy unless Parish commits early in the window.

No, but if £45m+ £5m is a true figure that Parish has agreed and is now backpedaling on, it doesn’t look good. Larsen isn’t worth that in most of our opinions so why offer it and then go cold on the deal. You offer large money to secure the deal; to back out means you’ve pissed off both the player, Wolves, and any other club that would have put a bid in but didn’t because they thought the player was going to us because of the money we offered.
