Was this a new rumour? As he was linked at before the world cup but news on any deal seems to have gone cold. Personally I think he'd be a great signing both for the upcoming season and for the future.

Ye saw it recently, Rennes are sticking with minimum £13 mill.

I think this lad could be ideal for us and like the potential he showed when first breaking into the first team at Brum.
Looked very good in spells while on loan at Leicester (although his match rhythm was broken by injury).
However, 13 million quid just goes to show how utterly ridiculous football has become.
