I've never been impressed when I've seen him play, including at the WC this summer.

His goalscoring record in France was very impressive, but he struggled in Italy last year.

I'd assume he's on hefty wages at Juventus having run down his contract at Lille.

Possible. Much depends on the reality behind the rumours of Mateta and a new improved contract. Time will tell.

Have to agree here! I thought he was very disappointing at WC and reminded me a little of Edouard.

Not sure JP is the answer this year either.

I would take that option. David is a great striker who has three years on Mateta and I'd say a higher ceiling too.

If there is anything to the rumours, and all four parties are actually interested, I would recommend getting it done.
