For me he was one of a small handful of players that I thought hit the ground running when we went up to the Prem and was absolutely instrumental in the transition. Agree with all the sentiments that this guy deserves to be remembered for his service to Palace.

Chris123 - I am assuming you mean Joel's goal saving header against Watford in the play off final. Yes what a moment! Who would have thought he would still be with us.

Always sad when players like him leave. I felt the same about Speroni.

He's been a brilliant player for us and maybe the best value signing we've ever made.

Hope he gets a good move if he still wants to play and then comes back to coach when he decides to call it a day.
