Deal with Cremonese expires in the summer, has an option to extend but with them possibly facing the drop to Serie B depending on the last two games, he could decide not to renew.

Premier League proven goal scorer, potentially on a free transfer. He’s been fine in a lower Serie A side at Cremonese who were never going to wrip up trees. Always says he will carry on for as long as he’s able to run.

If Mateta renews his interest in moving to Serie A in the summer, we could use Vardy. Replace one madman up top with another one, slightly more clinical I would say (maybe increasingly so with JP’s general drop-off), and should be cheaper on the wage bill.

He could revive his eagle celebration 👀

Undecided on this one. Could he come in and do a Kevin Phillips? Quite possibly but he's 39 which is knocking on for a striker, even one only coming on for cameo appearances.

Whilst I wouldn't object to the player ,I find the wife hard to appreciate as she has a face like a smacked a***.

I don’t think he’s lost much energy, endurance, or speed, which would usually lend into that trend.

Maybe it’s because he spent the first 6+ years of his career in the lower leagues, both taking less of a toll on him and also building up his endurance and physicality.

Or maybe it’s the gallons of Red Bull and tonnes of snus he consumes on a daily basis 😅 but to my knowledge he’s still something of a Duracell bunny, and thinks of himself that way too.

That's fair but he'll be 40 during next season and could go over the top quickly. He could have a role on the coaching side but that must depend on the next manager.

Perhaps he will be employed by Sheff Wed, a team he has supported all his life.
Billy Sharp, aged 40, has scored goals for Doncaster this season, he scored a hat-trick last week at Peterborough.
