Everton are said to be listening to offers for the former Eagle (The Athletic )

He has told Everton he wants to play in his preferred centre back position rather than full back where Moyes is playing him ,when he plays him .

We could do worse .

Why would we have I’m if Moyes is not rating him & wants to replace Munoz for him ?

I dont think its a matter of not rating him but rather that Everton dont have a decent right back but do have an abundance of Centre backs . Tarkowski is skipper so its one of three ,old hand Keane ,the highly rated Branthwaite and O'Brien for the other spot .

The fact that Sage would know him from his time in France ,that Paddy brought him through the ranks ,that he is decent and Everton are prepared to sell makes him an obvious target IMO

Should have posted this here instead of as a new topic ….

But how about a Munoz / O’Brien swap

Swaps are rare but two with same club in the same season …

Different positions and let’s face it , every move happens because both clubs see value in it , in terms of monetary or roster improvement .

Because he's a centre half and we now need one.
That’s the attraction, he never was a full back, Moyes has made use of him as one, which is a feather in his cap because he coped pretty well.
A whole bucket load of irony in this if we did sign him. IMO not likely as we don’t seem to have any money, but we really could do with the likes of him.

Strange decision by Everton.

Brathwaite can't seem to stay fit, so by letting O'Brien go they are surly leaving them short of CB cover.

They may recoup their outlay on him though.
