It does happen elsewhere and that is the point: Israel is held to a different standard than everyone else. Why is this?

And for some reason you and others believe that the IDF is deliberately targeting civilians. There is no logical benefit for them to do this – especially as, like you say, they are scrutinized more than any other military in the world. For some reason Hamas embedding with civilians and not protecting them in their tunnel network doesn't deserve more criticism?

I have a prejudice against a murderous Israeli regime - the IDF. It has nothing to do with the Jewish people.

I work with Jewish people. I have Jewish friends.
Some stay out of the affair. Some are appalled by Netanyahu and don't trust him.

That's like saying I hate German people because I hate Nazis.

You're twisting words and looking for an agenda and a slant just to justify your own.

Your German analogy is not valid because the Nazi's were a political party in government, not an ethnic group or religion. And they took power by coersion and force during a tumultuous time. It would be like saying that the Gazans were all Hamas, which I'm certain you defy.

The IDF is a constription army. There are limited circumstances that exempt you from service and political allegiance is not one of them. Can you tell us which religious group makes up all but a tiny minority of the IDF? Only, you were celebrating that rapper a few posts back weren't you.

The difference between the meaning of " anti semite " and " jew hater " is zero but somehow " anti semite " is less harsh and mean than " jew hater "

There are several on here who are very much jew haters but try to hide behind semantics and word salads. " I have Jewish friends " etc. These are the same crew who believe Hamas has right to attack Israel and October 7th was some kind of justified expression of push back against subjugation.

At least Steeleye when accused of being a jew hater on here doesn't deny it.

Same with those on here who support Palestine Action but realise they can't write what they believe as this site could easily have an issue with any post showing support for a proscribed orghanisation, including " going to their next gig ".

None of us make the military calls but all of us ought to be able separate those that are obviously legitimate from those that aren’t. Sadly some seem wilfully blind to the many acts that go beyond the legitimate.

Once again! It has nothing whatsoever to do with what anyone else is doing, including Hamas. It only concerns the behaviour of the Israeli government.

Which acts in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Falklands War, the Afghanistan War and the Iraq War were legitimate.
