Israel v Hamas

The BBC website has just posted a report of Palestinian prisoners released by Israel were subjected to "Chemical burns, assaults, electric shocks". Of course, the report is not based on independently verified sources, but are from results of telephone calls, text messages and from contracted freelancers in Gaza. So, in the BBC's mind, it must be true. Yes, the pictures look nasty, but considering they were captured in the middle of a war, those injuries could well be wounds caused by warfare.

There was a very small mention in the report of Israeli hostages being tortured, and some, including children, being killed by Hamas while in their custody, but the guts of the report was how brutal those beastly Israelis are compared to the almost angelic peace loving Hamas.
 
i think it's important to distinguish between Palestinian civilians and HAMAS.
Palestinians are undeserving of this 5hlt.
I think we'd all like to see terrorist scum wiped from the face of the Earth, but not at any price.

Like a Gaza correspondent they use who described Jews as "the devils" and "Israelis as not human", reported this week by the Telegraph.

Yes at any price is the only way.
Palestinians voted them in so Palestinians need to force them out. Dog eat dog.

By that sort of logic, you would not object to British people being killed by Iraqi's, as all British people voted Blair into office and sanctioned the illegal war.
That 'winning' a war is defined by how many non-combatants you can kill, or how many hospitals you can destroy.
I have thought for a while that the destruction would continue to be justified, as I believe that the war is about oil. USA is using Israel as a proxy to get more weapons and equipment into the region, with large permanent bases. Oil is past its peak production, and the USA is embarking on protectionism of the Saudi oil fields. Israel makes an excellent military base for the region. Particularly around the flattened areas of Gaza and the West Bank which America has offered to rebuild.
Crazy idea ?

It's not about justifying it, it's about expecting it. I was chastised on the BBS for saying after Oct 7 that "They'll get what's coming to them for it", and it's not that I want it to happen, it's that I understand the actions that they take and expect them to take. It's called reality.

Well there is no such thing as Palestinians. It's made up recently. Not a race, religion or genetic line or a country. A mix of immigrants and their children.

Also, they celebrate and voted for this s***, they must be the worst parents in the world.
